While 90 Day Fiancé star Molly Hopkins is having a successful weight loss journey in the franchise, she often gets negative comments from fans on Instagram. The 47-year-old mom of two from Georgia first met fans on 90DF season 5, with her former husband Luis Mendez from the Dominican Republic. Molly, who makes a living from her successful LiviRae lingerie brand, which she co-owns with her best friend Cynthia Decker, had an unsuccessful relationship with Luis. She secretly married him, but filed for divorce after only five months.

It was then that Molly started to focus on losing weight, by making changes to her lifestyle. She started to partner with weight loss tea brands, and promoted related products, telling her fans that she already lost 40 pounds from a 30-day tea detox. Molly also started to heavily advertise weight loss supplements, and soon moved on to the pink drink that she’s often posing with on Instagram. 90 Day Fiancé cast member Molly claims that supplements have helped her slim down and stay healthy, but fans find her diet hacks dubious.

These products are marketed via campaigns which feature celebrities that are known for talking about weight loss on their pages. Fans have often pointed out that they look like pyramid schemes. They also worry that the products being promoted might end up giving people health issues, if consumed without proper research. Molly has been accused of giving advice about slimming down which could be exaggerated or unverified, even though she’s currently 30 pounds lighter. She is actually close to her goal of weighing 190 pounds. There is gossip about her having had surgery on the sly, but she is giving credit to an appetite-suppressing drink, and other supplements.

90DF's Molly Gets Called Out For Weight Loss Claims

In May 2021, 90 Day Fiancé celeb Molly posted a photo of herself wearing an all-black outfit, which made her look slimmer than ever. Molly’s hair was straight and silky, and looked great with her turtleneck and leggings "OOTD." Her skin was glowing in the photo, and she wrote that her “skin has been transforming” because of certain products that “includes the collagen.” She wrote that it was the “side effects” of the product “cleaning up” her gut. In the comments, fans who seemed skeptical about Molly’s claim, asked her questions like, “who is your surgeon?” and commented, “Ugh, didn’t realize you were an MLM hunbot.” A fan pointed out that when someone like her is “hawking so many products,” it is difficult to believe that she’s actually praising them genuinely.

90DF's Molly Accused of Editing Post-Weight Loss Photos

A post from June 2021 showed 90 Day Fiancé's Molly hanging out with her friend at a virtual conference for the same "pink drink" brand that she endorses. Molly posted full-length photos to reveal her weight loss, and selfies with her pal. She donned a black outfit in one photo, and a t-shirt in the rest. However, instead of praising her new figure, or calling her “gorgeous” like the majority of the fans, some critics slammed her for using “more filters AGAIN.” Another follower admitted that they “LOVED” Molly because she used to be “NATURAL.” That person now thinks that she's like every other 90 Day Fiancé cast member who believes that “BOTOX lips” and “face pinching is cute.”

Meanwhile, Molly, who’s had Botox before, went to get some touch-ups on her forehead, to get rid of some lines that she didn’t like. The procedure was performed at a New York clinic. Molly got an eye-lift to get a natural eyebrow arch, as the video showed the aesthetician giving the Pillow Talk cast member a makeover. The reality icon recommended the treatment to 90 Day Fiancé fans who have tired eyes and forehead wrinkles.

Fans in the comments laughed, believing that Molly was using a filter to doctor the Botox injection clip. In one instance, the “eyelashes” from the filter seemed to come off Molly’s face; they could be seen on the aesthetician’s gloves. “LoL the lash filter though. Can’t really see what’s going on,” said one of her followers. “No thanks don’t need duck lips,” wrote another one. “Good lord that’s a hella lot of Botox!” reads one comment. A concerned fan even asked reality TV star Molly from 90 Day Fiancé to accept her natural body, with several others agreeing that she doesn’t need Botox, as her “face is beautiful as it is.
