Fans met 90 Day Fiance's Daniele Gates and Yohan Geronimo when the spin-off Love in Paradise: The Caribbean season 2 aired in June 2022 on Discovery+. Back then, New Yorker Daniele had spoken about how a trip to the Dominican Republic, which she'd taken five months prior, changed her life forever. During that holiday, she'd met Yohan, describing him on the show as the, "most beautiful man she had ever seen." However, at that time, spiritual woman Daniele predicted that her relationship with Yohan would have a lot of ups and downs. Firstly, they had to deal with a language barrier, apart from the obvious age difference. A month after her first trip, Daniele had flown back to the DR. During that trip, Yohan proposed, and she said yes.
90 Day Fiancé’s Daniele Doubted Yohan’s Intentions Before They Married
Before the week of their wedding approached, 90 Day Fiancé star Daniele admitted onscreen that she and Yohan had been planning her move to his country. However, as they got closer to their marriage date, Yohan became, “more and more adamant” about relocating to New York, which made Daniele, “suspicious.” In the beginning, she believed that he truly loved her. However, she started to wonder if it was, “love or him looking for an opportunity.” Yohan did want to work in the U.S., and send money to his family.

“I only care about us being together, here or there,” Yohan told her, as he assured her that his intentions were good before their wedding. Daniele and Yohan tied the knot in November 2021. It’s been over a year since they married. In 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Daniele will be leaving her home and job in NYC. She wants to convince Yohan to make the Dominican Republic their home forever. As per her Instagram, Daniele moved to the DR in June 2022. She posted an IG Reel showing the sights of New York, and captioned it with, “I’m terrible at goodbyes, especially when I know they’re forever…”
Daniele wanted to move and have a, “life with more peace” and, “not working so much.” Living in New York was expensive. She was spending as much money as she made, and wished to, “downgrade.” That way, she could do half (or even a quarter) of the work that 90 Day Fiancé star Daniele was doing in America. She envisioned living a better life elsewhere.

Daniele had known Yohan for only five months when she married him. In fact, the two had only spent three weeks together. It was revealed that Yohan hoped to become a father, but Daniele wanted him to be financially stable before they took on that responsibility. She admitted that the chances of her having a baby were slim.
However, one of the biggest reasons why Daniele rushed into marrying Yohan was because she was already trying to conceive. Earlier, Daniele’s life was so chaotic and unstable that she didn’t want to bring a baby into it. She wanted to build a stable family first. It seems like Daniele and Yohan have found serenity in their Dominican Republic home. There’s no sign of a baby on 90 Day Fiancé couple Daniele and Yohan’s social media, but they do have an 8-month-old Pekinese puppy.
