Brittany Banks' meet-the-parents round two with Yazan Abo Horira's family went pretty well on the August 17 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. In spite of their volatile first meeting, Yazan getting his uncle involved as a mediator seems to have worked like a charm. As Brittany’s Jordanian future in-laws decided to give her a second chance, 90 Day Fiancé fans were left wondering how long the happy times would last after she reveals her dark secret.

Yazan having a sensible uncle in his family proved to be a blessing for the 90 Day Fiancé couple. American Brittany was having a hard time adapting to Yazan’s Islamic customs, even though that’s exactly what she came to learn in Addis Ababa. An explosive argument between Yazan’s orthodox parents resulted in his father calling her "a prostitute” based on her social media pictures. She denied wanting to change her American ways, while Yazan gave her lessons on how to pray like a Muslim. The latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way shows Yazan’s uncle speaking to his parents on the couple’s behalf, asking them to grant a few more days until a marriage. Yazan’s father disagreed with the 90 Day Fiancé pair hanging out together like “boyfriend and girlfriend” prior to getting married, but the uncle talked sense into him when he said Brittany needed time to adapt to the culture. Yazan’s family finally agreed and Brittany looked like she’d found happiness again...until she brought up the fact that she was still married in the confessional.

In last week’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Yazan gave Brittany an ultimatum, telling her she has three days to decide if she wants to convert to Islam. It looked like Brittany was close to confessing about her marriage situation, but she ended up blaming Yazan for not telling her about the conversion before she moved to Jordan. While she was still in the USA, Brittany spoke to the cameras about still being married to her ex and not having filed for a divorce. Yazan, and obviously his family, were unaware of this situation, even though he had been dating Brittany for a year! The Palm Beach resident consulted a lawyer and said she got married five years ago to her estranged husband. But the man, who the 90 Day Fiancé star had been dating since she was 17, was deported to Haiti by ICE just four months into their marriage. His being estranged doesn’t change the fact that she’s still married, and yes, converting into Islam thus seems to be a secondary concern altogether. Considering her meeting with Yazan's parents devolved into a screaming match over her social media posts, we can only imagine that the disclosure of her previous relationship will turn the family away from the new marriage forever.

Brittany Yazan: TLC: 90 Day Fiance

Brittany and Yazan’s storyline so far has only revolved around her accepting his customs while they prepare for marriage. The fact that they’ve been granted more time to get used to each other and see if they are compatible enough for marriage doesn’t even matter knowing that she already has a husband.

The drama that’s bubbling beneath the surface for this 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple is far more disastrous than any events that have unfolded until now. Brittany awaits her father’s arrival to Jordan so the two families can take their discussion of marriage ahead. But will he also be the one who plays messenger and reveals her past to Yazan and his parents? It is certainly just the beginning of the end for Brittany and Yazan.
