Yaroslava Zalohina, better known as Yara Zaya to 90 Day Fiancé fans, often gets comments about how different she looked before plastic surgery. Long-distance couple Yara and Jovi Dufren met on a dating app, and connected over their shared love of traveling. Jovi became interested in Yara because, unlike other Ukrainian women he'd met, she didn’t ask him for money. They met in person for the first time in Budapest. Meanwhile, Yara liked Jovi's physique, which reminded her of Cristiano Ronaldo's body.

After they got over their initial awkwardness, 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi proposed to Yara. A few months later, she moved to the U.S. on her K-1 visa. When Yara confessed that she didn’t love Jovi during her interview for the show, fans wondered if she was after his money. Jovi seemed to be earning a sizable income with his ROV supervisor job, which funded his travels. Then, fans found out that Yara had featured in a reality TV show called Fashion to the People. Yara did find the perfect opportunity to share her truth in front of fellow cast members during a 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All, when co-star Rebecca Parrott spoke about her full-body liposuction. Julia Trubkina slammed Rebecca for not going to a gym instead. When Yara advocated plastic surgery, she revealed one of her beauty secrets. She said that her nose used to look like a, “potato,” and mentioned getting lip fillers.

90 Day Fiancé's Yara Got A Nose Job In 2014

While 90 Day Fiancé may have made Yara into a reality TV sensation in America, back in Ukraine, she was already doing multiple TV shows before meeting Jovi. In 2014, Yara was a part of a show called Love Online (via the TET TV Channel) on YouTube), in which she starred with her ex-boyfriend, Rafael. The episode, titled “Rafael and Yaroslava," featured a 20-year-old Yara, who was interested in shopping and beauty salons. Yara had gone to Barcelona to meet Rafael, who was studying law away from Ukraine.

At the time, reality TV celeb Yara had black hair, and had supposedly gotten lip injections as well. She broke up with her boyfriend, and the show filmed Yara two months later, when she talked to cameras, saying that she was really taking care of her appearance. She was recovering from a rhinoplasty procedure that made her nose smaller, with a more upturned tip.

Right after her debut on 90DF season 8 in 2020, Redditors (including u/auraQ8) dug into her social media profiles on the Internet, to find her old photos. The TLC viewer shared a mirror selfie of Yara that the Kyiv native had taken in 2013. Ten years ago, Yara, who must have been in her teens, looked very confident while striking a pouty pose for her photo. In the picture, she cupped her chest with one hand. 90DF star Yara showed off her pale blonde hair color. “She looks like she had her boobs, eyes, lips, nose, and teeth done,” wrote a fan, who thought that Yara got more than just a nose job.

In 2021, Redditor u/auraQ8 shared other throwback photos of Yara, which made fans declare that “Yara’s plastic surgeon did such an amazing job.” In their view, the doctor didn't overdo the procedures that she underwent, so she got natural-looking results. “Honestly if I get a nose job, I want her doctor,” user u/Tuff_Wizardess added. Fans said that while Yara looks like a “natural born supermodel” now, she was different back then, due to being younger and having darker hair and eyebrows.

Over time, Yara has certainly refined her look. Currently, she is in Europe with daughter Mylah, and may not want to return to America. Regardless of divorce rumors, Yara and Jovi are still together, and raising their daughter. The 90 Day Fiancé cast member certainly looked different than she did ten years ago, but seems very confident.
