Yara Zaya from 90 Day Fiancé is ready to give up on a green card and TLC fans don’t blame her. The finale of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 ended on a sad note for Yara and Jovi following them spending their one-year wedding anniversary at a strip club. With Jovi not ready to change his ways, Yara is worried about how her being an unhappy mama will affect baby Mylah’s childhood. But Yara, who made her debut on 90 Day Fiancé season 8, has been called manipulative by some. Is she really the “greedy gold-digger” some fans think she is?

Episode 15 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? made Gwen realize that she’s changed her mind about Yara having ulterior motives, and that the problems in this relationship are being caused by her “stupid” son himself. Gwen declared that Jovi deserved to be slammed by Yara, and accepted that the Ukrainian daughter-in-law had proved her wrong. However, Jovi seemed adamant in not adapting to life as a married man or father even as Yara, asked him to throw away his “party animal” personality. 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi did speak of wanting to be a good dad and a good husband, but also added, “I’m not gonna change who I am.

This is when Yara cried about her life in America being a real challenge and full of stress, as she asked the cameras, “who wants the green card when you live like this?” Jovi not showing Yara that he can grow up and respect her fetched him great criticism from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? viewers after the episode. One Twitter viewer was moved by Yara’s green card confession, and so were their followers who felt “so badly” for the new mom and bashed Jovi for wanting to be in “vacation mode” every day. Fans also noted that Jovi didn’t deserve Yara from the first moment the couple appeared on the 90 Day Fiancé screen.

The way things went downhill after Yara got pregnant and Jovi proposed. However, 90 Day Fiancé viewers also suggest that from what they know about Yara so far, she could have gone to stay with Jovi, even if he was from a different country and not a U.S. citizen. Therefore, Yara was never after a green card in the first place. While Yara may not always be romantic and comes across as rude on the show, she herself has admitted that it’s due to her being from Ukraine.

I’ve been raised in a family where it's been so hard for me to express my feelings,” Yara had explained when 90 Day Fiancé fans wanted to know why she couldn’t name anything she loved about Jovi during her season 8 introduction. But there’s still hope for Yara and Jovi fans, who may have been worried about her moving back to Ukraine. Things haven’t been easy for the 90 Day Fiancé pair, but both Yara and Jovi seem to be taking equal efforts now to settle into their whirlwind marriage and parenthood.
