Jovi and Yara first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 8 when Yara moved to New Orleans from Ukraine to marry Jovi and start a new life together. The couple was met with the surprising news that they were expecting a baby, and returned for Happily Ever After? season 6, where they adjusted to being new parents to their daughter Mylah. Jovi and Yara are currently appearing on Happily Ever After? season 7, where they have traveled to Europe to visit Yara's mother amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Jovi's attitude and behavior during the trip have not been the best, and 90 Day Fiancé fans are not hesitating to call him out on it. Reddit user sounique505 began a thread discussing a dinner Jovi and Yara attended with a friend of his. Jovi and his friend were joking the entire time about the women that Jovi had been with in Ukraine prior to Yara. Yara indicated that Jovi had previously told her that she was the only Ukrainian girl he had dated, and she was not happy to hear the news from Jovi's friend. Fans thought it was inappropriate of Jovi to allow his friend to talk to Yara about these things and make her feel uncomfortable. Jovi on the other hand, wanted to use the time off to party and enjoy his vacation. Viewers found this to be selfish of Jovi, as he was prioritizing having a good time over helping people in need. Fans feel sorry for Yara, as they feel she deserves a partner who will help her in helping others, not someone that only wants to party.
90 Day Fiancé fans previously called out Jovi for his American privilege as well, after he said that Yara's mother should learn English if she wanted a way to communicate with him. Fans found this to be disrespectful as Jovi was visiting Yara's mother in Prague and said that he should make efforts to learn Ukrainian to speak to her as well. Jovi is often unreasonable and self-centered and does not like it when things do not go his way. Since they have been in Europe, Jovi and Yara's relationship has taken a negative turn and fans think that Jovi is mostly to blame.
