Yara Zaya from 90 Day Fiancé is annoyed at Jovi's uneducated view of Ukraine and clapped back at Jovi Dufren's mother for her insensitive comments. The young blonde is known for her bluntness. In this case, she sure didn't hold back when she felt attacked. Most fans appreciated the way that she stood up for herself.
The New Orleans native Jovi is experiencing a bit of a rude awakening as he introduces his 90 Day Fiancé bride-to-be to life in Louisiana. Yara is not pleased with her new home and she really wants Jovi to quit his job, which is their only source of income. Jovi has yet to compromise and feels she should be happy to be in the United States. Fans have noted that Jovi is trying to convince himself that he is ready for marriage, even though they think he's not ready for that type of serious commitment at all, and now the couple is pregnant and fighting.
TLC fans were extremely annoyed at how Jovi's parents judged Yara over her reasons for coming to the United States. Jovi did not help when he mentioned it was his fiancée's dream to leave Ukraine. The mother of one quickly clapped back, letting her future family know it was not her dream and that many people "think Americans are dumb." That zinger put Jovi's family members in their place.
However, what stuck out in fans' minds the most was that his parents openly mocked her and stereotyped her. They told the cameras that they were not happy with their son's idea of moving to Europe since they wouldn't be able to see their grandchild. What about Yara's family? Why should Yara be expected to give everything she wished for up?
Jovi's father also made his daughter-in-law uncomfortable when he addressed her fashion sense. He made it clear she dressed way too sexy. Fans were in an uproar when Jovi's mother, Gwen, announced, "Like a lot of Ukrainian women just trying to get a guy to get them to American." This was offensive to many viewers.
Jovi does not ever seem to compromise, and the teaser for the next episode showed him saying that he would never leave New Orleans. The couple is about to butt heads at their engagement party. Jovi can't seem to put a drink down. It's obvious that Yara has had enough of it.
