If TLC fans made a list of 90 Day Fiancé stars who possibly overdo the editing on their Instagram photos, Jihoon Lee’s ex-wife Deavan Clegg would probably claim the #1 spot. Every single time Deavan posts an image of herself on social media, TLC viewers see how different she looks in her photos, versus how they've seen her on their screens. This means that plenty of fan posts featuring before and after photos of Deavan, with and without Photoshop, appear online. Recently, after one such incident, 90 Day Fiancé star Deavan laughed at a meme. While doing so, she admitted to tweaking her pics and also revealed why she edits them.

Two seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way have passed since Deavan made her debut on the show with ex-husband Jihoon Lee. The TLC couple had met on an online dating app, swiped right, gotten pregnant on the first date, and later fired a series of allegations at each other, only to separate in the season 2 finale. Deavan accused Jihoon of not being the right father figure umpteen times on the show, and her social media hosted new claims and allegations against him frequently. Along with 90 Day Fiancé’s Deavan sharing new revelations about her relationship on Instagram, her followers noticed how different she looked off-screen. Soon enough, Deavan’s filters became a talking point, even as she claimed her appearance was the result of fillers instead. Some fans saw that Deavan was blatantly using FaceApp, filters, or maybe PhotoShop to digitally enhance her face in her IG photos. A recent post by Deavan had 90 Day Fiancé fans saying she looked unrecognizable, especially when compared to the IG stories she did later with her new boyfriend Topher Park.

The memes followed, and the 90 Day Fiancé star saw one of them and poked fun of herself with a Deavan Clegg Instagram video. “When you first meet your girl and after six months” was what the meme said about Deavan. She joked in her post by commenting, “When you can laugh at yourself lol.” Using the hashtag “#unbothered,” Deavan wrote that she always finds it humorous when people compare women “with or without makeup” and compare “professional photos to non edits.” Although 90 Day Fiancé critics jump on Deavan’s every post, commenting, “who is this?” some surprisingly agreed with her.

When a 90 Day Fiancé viewer commented on Deavan’s post by saying, “it’s ridiculous how some men still can’t wrap their heads around the idea of make-up and professional photography,” Deavan replied, saying, “shaming someone and calling them ugly for not wearing makeup is definitely not the larger picture.” The Utah native also said that she thinks nothing is wrong, “If someone wants to look the way they want in person or photo and are doing it for them.”

However, when another curious 90 Day Fiancé fan asked Deavan why she bothers with editing, and why she chooses to “alter” her “photos in the first place,” Deavan’s only response was a simple, “because I like it I find editing fun.”

Looks like this is the answer that 90 Day Fiancé fans have waited to hear for the longest time. While Deavan seems to know that fans can clearly tell her edited and non-edited pictures apart, it seems that FaceApp, PhotoShop, or whatever app she prefers is something that she just loves playing with. Given her shocking confession, one can certainly expect to see more of 90 Day Fiancé’s Deavan Clegg's filtered photos on their timelines over the long term.
