After a recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7, 90 Day Fiancé fans are conflicted on whether Andrei Castravet is worse than his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Potthast's infamous family. Andrei and Libby first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 5, after they met on Tinder in Dublin while Libby was traveling there. The couple ended up falling hard for each other, and later returned for four seasons of Happily Ever After?, where they had a second wedding in Moldova and Libby later gave birth to a daughter named Eleanor.
Andrei and Libby's marriage has not been easy, however, as Andrei has constantly found himself at odds with Libby's family. Andrei has a particular dislike of Libby's brother Charlie Potthast, who has gotten physically aggressive with Andrei in front of the family in the past. Andrei also struggles to get along with Libby's sisters Jen and Becky Potthast, who he feels are rude and condescending towards him. Andrei has improved his relationship with Libby's dad Chuck Potthast, but he has issues with her mother Pam from time to time.
In a recent thread on Reddit, fans were split as to whether Libby's family had become worse than Andrei. Reddit user catladydiva began the post writing "Andrei is justified in not wanting his family around toxicity. Libby's family is toxic and Andrei has just become the family's scapegoat to deflect from their own issues." In a recent episode of Happily Ever After?, Becky jokes about Andrei getting deported back to Moldova, as she knows his Green Card interview is coming up. Many fans felt that this was insensitive of Becky to say to Libby, and that it shows that Libby's family is just as immature as they often claim Andrei to be.
90 Day Fiancé Fans Think The Potthasts Are Bad, But So Is Andrei
On the other hand, some fans still feel that Andrei is just as bad as Libby's family. Reddit user loofa26 commented, "her family has issues, but Andrei has poor manners in the way he approaches Libby's parents." Many fans were divided on the scene where Andrei goes to meet up with Pam at a local coffee shop to discuss attendance at her upcoming birthday party. While Pam expresses to Andrei that she wishes for both he and Libby to attend with Eleanor, Andrei makes it clear that they will not go if Charlie is present. Some fans felt that Andrei was aggressive towards Pam during the conversation, and thought that he didn't need to get so loud.
While Andrei was once known as a 90 Day Fiancé villain, many fans feel that Andrei has matured over the years to become a healthy father figure for his family. One of Andrei's biggest struggles was initially finding a job, but in recent seasons Andrei has gone back to work with a positive attitude. However, Libby's family has always been a trigger to 90 Day Fiancé fans who feel that they never take accountability for their mistakes.
