Ben Rathbun from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days was joined by his friend Jessica Siciliano, but some viewers disliked what she had to say. Ben has established himself as a 90 Day Fiancé franchise villain due to his pursuit of young Peruvian woman, Mahogany Roca. Some fans found his conduct creepy. However, Jessica also picked up some criticism from Before the 90 Days season 5 viewers for virtually appearing alongside Ben at the Tell-All.
Ben was called out early on by Jessica and his friends, because he said that God had sent him to pursue Mahogany, a 22-year-old Peruvian woman who is thirty years his junior. Jessica joined Ben’s other friends in expressing their shock and doubt about his plans to pursue Mahogany, especially since she had never video-called Ben. While Mahogany turned out to be a real person, she had little desire to be with Ben. She told him not to visit her, and only told Ben lies about her life to protect her privacy. Many viewers thought that Mahogany was a fraud, but Ben was blasted for being an older man whom the felt was stalking someone his daughter’s age.
Jessica came to the Tell-All ready to upset relationships, including the one between Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda. Viewers were unimpressed with Jessica revealing that Gino had messaged her to ask if she was Sicilian, as it appeared to confirm the accusations that she was trying to stir up drama. Some franchise fans had noticed that Jessica added “90 Day Fiancé” to her Instagram account bio after appearing in a single episode, but that detail is no longer present. Fans were suspicious that Jessica wanted to become famous by exposing Gino for a seemingly harmless message. However, viewers were most critical of how Jessica called out Mahogany and initially defended her friend, Ben.
Some viewers accused Jessica of shaming Mahogany since she was too shy to video call Ben but shares bikini selfies online. Many viewers disliked the attack, even though Mahogany isn’t a popular 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast member. However, Jessica won back the support of viewers when she realized that Ben was being predatory towards Mahogany and felt that Jessica was dramatic. She then earned the applause of viewers for slamming Ben and dragging him for being a delusional narcissist who was preying on a young woman. The extreme shift in Jessica’s opinion of Ben redeemed her in the eyes of some franchise fans. However, Jessica quickly supported Ben again.
While Jessica was praised for seeing through Ben’s deception on Before the 99 Days, unfortunately, she ended up changing her viewpoint about Ben. Jessica and Ben revealed after the Tell-All that they have resumed their friendship. Although Mahogany confirmed that she is now single, Jessica has accepted Before the 90 Days cast member Ben back into her life as a friend. Many 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers were disappointed to see Ben supported once again, as he is considered to be sleazy (or worse) by many franchise fans.
