90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days fans couldn't believe that Usman Umar was forced to propose to his fiancée Lisa Hamme. Lisa demanding that Usman propose before the wedding was not only rude, but the proposal itself was beyond cringe-worthy.
Fans have watched over the weeks as Usman as seemingly been bullied into a relationship with an older American woman just so he can have a chance at living in America. The rapper has openly stated that he wants to further his music career but living in the United States with Lisa. TLC fans are not fond of "Baby Girl" Lisa as she often belittles her fiancé and calls him nasty names in front of his family and friends.
Once again, the two love birds were wrapped up in a massive argument where Lisa Hamme did what she does best, storm off. This time, she was angry at Usman for not proposing because their wedding was the next day and he had not asked her properly. The reasoning behind it is that she wanted the American style of proposal, despite it not being a traditional custom in Nigeria. However, Usman agreed to do it and even bought her a simple, gold band. It seemed strange that she demanded him of this as she had flown to Nigeria to get married, so obviously, they would be walking down the aisle, with an engagement ring or without one. As the Pennsylvania native stormed off into the hallway, her beloved followed her trying to explain his reasoning. Usman made solid points as he told her that he did not like the way she was acting and did not want to be trapped with her bad attitude. By a miracle, he calmed her down and both returned to the hotel room.
While safely back in their hotel room, he asked Lisa to find his hairbrush. Lisa aggressively searched the bathroom, shouting out to him like an angry grandmother, scolding him for misplacing it. Usman calls for Lisa to come into the other room where he was waiting on bend and knee, holding the gold ring awkwardly. The Nigerian revealed to cameras that he had never proposed to a woman before and hoped that the movie scenes from Hollywood had shown him the proper way. While Lisa did look emotional, fans felt the action was forced as Usman obviously was uncomfortable and the love between them is questionable. Lisa gushed as she told cameras that the proposal was all she ever wanted.
Naturally, the content between the two could not possibly last long as she started a fight out of leftfield when speaking with his two older brothers. The result of the fight showed her loudly interrupting and storming off, causing Usman’s brothers to urge him to reconsider the marriage.
