Reality star Usman “Sojaboy” Umar jokingly surprised his Instagram fans with “breaking news” about getting “married” to a younger woman who’s certainly not his girlfriend, Kim Menzies, from 90 Day Fiancé, though it seems to be connected to a music video. Usman seems to have found true love with San Diego woman Kimberly during his second 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stint. Although Usman was reluctant to date another American woman older than him after ex-wife Lisa “Babygirl” Hamme and also found similarities between her and Kim, the pair did make things “official” in a recent Before the 90 Days episode. Then why is it that Usman had a wedding with a mystery woman after serenading Kim with his “sokkwatawan shehu” song?
Things have been rough between Kim and Usman on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days ever since he told her about his ex-girlfriend Zara. Kim was offended that Usman dated someone else while talking to her online and didn’t consider telling her about it. Kim took back the MacBook she gave him along with the gold “Sojaboy” necklace. She warned him about how she would take the next flight home from Zanzibar if Usman didn’t make her stay back by doing a grand gesture. He did live up to Kim’s expectations and convinced her that he loved her. Usman told Kim that she would be coming to Nigeria with him next to meet his mother, and she called it the best night of her life.
But did Usman not keep his promise as he’s now "married" to a new woman? Usman shared a series of photos and videos on his @officialsojaboy Instagram page with the caption, “Breaking News 🤵♂️ 👰♂️ 😂🤣.” In them, Usman, dressed in traditional attire, is accompanied by a bride in a beautiful white dress. In one of the videos, Usman does the money dance by spraying bills on his bride. “Gentlemen and Ladies the groom and bride 🤵♂️👰♂️” is what Usman wrote as his caption for a different post and seemingly confirmed he was filming a music video by using the emojis, “😂🎥📹.”
Funnily enough, Kim was the first to comment on Usman’s Instagram post, which has now crossed over 12,000 likes. “CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! 😂😂😂” wrote Kim with fans replying to her with comments such as, “Please tell me this wasn’t another surprise he didn’t tell u about 😩” and “Y’all are trolling us too hard this season, come onnnnnn.” When one fan wanted to confirm that Usman is indeed filming a fake wedding ceremony for a music video, Kim told them, “Ask him lol.” This is when fans judged Usman for doing “anything to stay relevant.”
Some of Usman’s followers tried to pull Kim’s leg by asking her if the woman in the post is his second wife. Early on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Kim declared that she was okay with Usman having multiple wives. But Kim did show her true colors by getting livid when Usman dropped the Zara bombshell. It seems Usman and Kim could return for a new season after their current 90 Day Fiancé appearance, in which the former restaurant manager flies to Nigeria to meet with Usman’s relatives. Rumor is that Kim is engaged to Usman, which could be why she’s okay with another woman getting (pretend) married to her man.
