How 90 Day Fiancé’s Tom Brooks became just another Jesse Meester. Tom left fans disappointed with his callus actions towards Darcey as he showed his true colors that remarkably mimicked that of Jesse’s.

Brooks has gone from a debonair aristocrat to a filthy slug within a few episodes. He first debuted as Darcey Silva’s new foreign beau who would take on the world for her but now has become more disliked than the likes of Geoffrey Paschel and Big Ed. Silva dated Meester who hailed from Amsterdam on her first run of the show but was dumped in New York City by him with Brooks following foot.

Fans were stunned with the turn of events that have followed the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days as Brook totally changed his personality. He started off meek but quickly turned into a hard-core bully. He misled Silva during their relationship and actually ended up upgrading to a new love interest before officially ending his relationship with the twin leaving her with a knife in her back. Not only that, but to add salt to the wound, Tom decided then was a good time to ask Darcey, "Have you put on weight?" It seems that Brooks was aiming to be just like Meester.

Viewers were quick to make the connection that he was acting very much like Meester. Both men felt that they could belittle Silva to have control over her as she was often emotionally fragile. Brooks had the audacity to tell his ex-girlfriend not to “screw it up” with the next man like she had done with the past two relationships. Meester, as far as fans now, never outright attacked Silva for weight but did often comment on her appearance often and berated her in regards to working out. Silva herself mentioned she had trained hard to lose the weight to be able to impress Meester. Meester and Brooks felt it was okay to conduct their breakups in a public atmosphere - both in New York City -  which left Silva mostly blindsided. As with Meester, Darcey was very cold when she met up with Brooks, showing her guard was already up as she had suspected something was up due to finding the pictures of him with another woman.

Both men have made their names synonymous with the terms controlling due to their cruel treatment of Silva. While Silva has also proved to TLC fans that she has room for improvement when it comes to controlling her emotions, no woman should be made to feel inferior because the man in their life wants to be assertive and feel powerful. While both men have apologized for their wrongdoings in their own way, fans feel that it may not have been enough to redeem them, especially for Brooks. Fans felt like he only went on this season of the show in order to chase clout and we'd have to agree. Fans can't wait to see who Darcey's new man is and hopefully this time, she will leave the trash men in the past.
