How fair is it to be a slightly lesser dramatic couple compared to one’s peers on 90 Day Fiancé? Tim Clarkson and Melyza Zeta would know. Texas-native Tim moved to Colombia for good to prove his love and fidelity to Melyza. But Melyza too has a few skeletons in her own closet. Has the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple still managed to stay together in spite of pulling off the classic “We were on a break” Ross and Rachel stunt from Friends? Here are all the clues.
Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way returned from its mid-season break with fans curious about what Melyza was keeping from boyfriend Tim. With Tim in Colombia, going out on a limb to impress her parents, finding a job, and winning Melyza back, fans did expect them to make it last. But Melyza revealing that she had been disloyal to him all the while when she chided him for his cheating, made TLC fans label her a hypocrite. At present, Melyza is trying her best to play host to Tim’s mother Robin and Aunt Karmyn, who are visiting from America. And, the 90 Day Fiancé star has confessed to having a dark past with Robin, including an incident when Tim’s mother had called the cops on her. But if one dismisses the TLC show’s timeline and fast-forwards by a year, 90 Day Fiancé fans can spot Tim and Melyza still being together.
Just like their 90 Day Fiancé co-star, Tim and Melyza have been following their TLC NDA to the T. But there do remain gaps that give the reality TV show’s fans some much-needed tea. For starters, the couple continues to follow each other back on social media. In fact, one of Tim’s earliest Instagram posts is a quote from January 2015 saying, “All we have is all we need. All we need is the awareness of how blessed we really are,” which he’s captioned with “@melyzazeta and #trulyblessed.” A cute couple selfie with his 90 Day Fiancé co-star follows from January 2017. Tim shared an update in February from Melyza's Medellin captioned, "MEDELLÍN con la familia" where he's flanked by none other than Melyza, his mother, and aunt. On October 30 this year, Tim posted a promo pic of him and Ms. Zeta with her commenting “I remember that day” and his reply is, “me too” with a face with tears emoji. Otherwise, Tim’s entire IG feed is occupied by the couple’s cat Pepito aka Pepi which could also hint at Tim still living in Colombia as he’d taken the feline along.
On Melyza’s Instagram too, Tim’s traces appear on and under posts. Her first couple post with 90 Day Fiancé’s Tim is one from November 2014, with them sharing a cute kiss at Disneyland. A Miami vacation selfie from December 2014 follows, along with a few more of Melyza celebrating Valentine's Day, another where she's calling Tim “the best boyfriend” and one from 2017 where she claims he’s her “favorite person in the world.” When Melyza debuted her new red hot look on IG last week, one of the first reactions to land was Tim’s “hot face emoji” which could mean that even if the 90 Day Fiancé couple did decide to part ways, they still stay in touch as friends.
Melyza’s latest updates have tons of 90 Day Fiancé fans calling her out for “playing games with him as revenge,” but also interesting is her tagged location, Medellin, Antioquia. This does show that Melyza continues to stay in her hometown, and Tim possibly is accompanying her by perhaps having found a new job. Tim and Melyza’s romance hasn’t been a downright trainwreck on the TLC show, and they do seem to be the kind who’d stick around in spite of the cheating episodes that have taken place. But also, given that Tim and Melyza are still a 90 Day Fiancé couple, could their mutual affection club on Instagram be an act put on to create reality TV rumors?
