Recently, Yara Zaya was compared to Harry Potter villain Draco Malfoy by 90 Day Fiancé fans, after impressing them by standing up to Jovi Dufren’s mom. However, fans continue to have mixed opinions about Yara and comment on her rumored plastic surgery and her fashion choices. Some people who follow the Ukrainian beauty on her Instagram have also noticed that she almost never smiles. While some may have blamed this on her possible lip fillers, Yara has now explained her straight face.
It was clear that Yara failed to make a good first impression on TLC viewers when they started comparing her to "gold digger" alum and current fitness model Anfisa Arkhipchenko Nava. Yara's previous job description included the words “into makeup.” Jovi fueled the fire by suspecting that Yara got pregnant to get a Green Card. To top it all off, a clip with 19-year-old Yara expressing her interest in rich, foreign men made many doubt her intentions.
However, Yara also started coming across as cold in terms of the way she behaved towards Jovi on the show, which fans thought was outright rude. Yara, who always does her best to defend herself from criticism in her own signature style, took to Instagram. She then explained her reason for rarely smiling. The reason is cultural.
The rumored young mother Yara, who’s shocking fans with her possible post-baby body through her IG posts, is known for being a fashion inspiration to many. In fact, 90 Day Fiancé star Yara Zaya also recently hosted a giveaway for her signature jacket, which she’s often spotted wearing while with Jovi on the reality show. In her newest post (as seen above), Yara flaunted her slim physique in a crisp white button-down, paired with beige pants and a YSL sling. She mentioned how her second photo "shows her smile.”
Jovi’s partner then confessed that she can’t tell why, but doesn’t “like the photos” where she smiles. She blames her “Ukrainian mentality.” Apparently, It's Ukrainian to look down on “stupid people [that are] smiling always.” That explains so much.
Yara’s followers seemed to second her thoughts, as one added, “I totally agree with the smiling.” A second commenter stated, “be yourself. Don’t force a smile.” However, a few of Yara’s fans think that her “smile is beautiful” and that she should “smile often.” There was a snarky remark though, which was, “I AM CRACKING UP at the ‘stupid people smile,’ Jovi is always smiling.” Another follower observed, “So Jovi and his goofy smile = he is stupid? Lol. Love you both.”
One of the top comments asks Yara to “sell some Gucci and get that guy’s teeth fixed.” Yara promptly replied, “what wrong with his teeth?” Now that Yara explained why she doesn’t smile, Jovi should post about why he smiles so much on 90 Day Fiancé. The moral of the story is that Yara and Jovi prove that opposites attract.
