90 Day Fiancé fans can tune into the new season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way on January 29, and many viewers are eager to meet newcomers Nicole and Mahmoud. Franchise fans will be introduced to five new couples and one couple who appeared on Love in Paradise: The Caribbean, A 90 Day Story. Nicole and Mahmoud are one of six couples appearing in The Other Way season 4. The American-Egyptian pair will be joined by returning franchise couple Daniele Gates and Yohan Geronimo in the Dominican Republic. Nicole is one of nearly a dozen cast members from California, while Mahmoud is the second franchise cast member from Egypt after 90 Day Fiancé season 9 cast member Mohamed Abdelhamed.

Their bios on TV Insider state that Nicole met Mahmoud while on "a spiritual tour through Egypt." She met him on her last day of the trip while in a fabric store. Mahmoud proposed to Nicole the first day they met. She then decided to return to Egypt three weeks later to marry Mahmoud without telling her family and friends about her plans. The nonexistent dating period has left many 90 Day Fiancé franchise fans shocked, which has already created major buzz for the couple online and from the TLC trailer.

Cultural issues are a cornerstone of 90 Day Fiancé franchise content, which Nicole and Mahmoud appear to face on The Other Way season 4. The TLC trailer shows they will have major cultural differences, as Nicole is an independent American woman, while Mahmoud lives a far more traditional life in Egypt. “Let me be who I am. Just let me have like a little freedom,” Nicole tells Mahmoud in the trailer during what appears to be a serious fight for the couple. “You have like, more freedom, more than any wife I can have,” Mahmoud retorts. Nicole then tells Mahmoud that she wants to return to the country that she “actually wants to live in” after they realize they are very different culturally.

Many viewers were disappointed by recent 90 Day Fiancé franchise content, as the past season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7 aired repetitive drama from the couples and created more franchise villains. 90 Day Fiancé fans are excited to get to meet the six couples on The Other Way season 4. Mahmoud and Nicole are the most talked about couple, as fans are anticipating a lot of issues between them, given their problems highlighted in the trailer.
