Thaís Ramone is inviting some controversy from 90 Day Fiancé season 9 fans with a recent Instagram post. Thaís came from Brazil to be with her now husband, Patrick Mendes. Their time on the show was spent living with Patrick’s brother, John, providing plenty of drama.

90 Day Fiancé’s Thaís Ramone has been very active on Instagram since she made her debut on the TLC series. She chronicled her pregnancy thoroughly on the platform, which allowed viewers an inside look into Thaís's journey into motherhood. Thaís and Patrick welcomed their daughter, Aleesi Ramone Mendes, into the world on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Since then, Thaís has proudly showcased life with her daughter and all the rigors and triumphs of motherhood.

90 Day Fiancé Fans Slammed Thaís For Energy Drink Ad

Since Thaís is so open with her life, the nature of online culture means criticism is inevitable. On February 23, 2023, Thaís posted an Instagram Reel showing herself working out, expressing a desire to “work off [her] baby weight,” and using an energy drink to “help boost [her] metabolism.” While it was clear Thaís' Instagram video was paid promotion, many praised her drive. Still, others were wary of what she was putting into her body. One commenter wrote, “If you are still nursing you have to choose wisely what you eat and drink.”

Is Thaís Ramone At Fault For Her Instagram Reel?

Thaís has mentioned her baby weight loss struggles in the past. There is certainly an unfortunate expectation for TV stars, even those on reality TV, to look a certain way. Audiences have seen what those unjust expectations can do to people. But that’s where the genuineness of the post comes into question. Since the reel was a paid promotion, it could be that many aspects of it aren’t entirely legitimate. Granted, even if Thaís, who has many bold fashion looks, is truly drinking the energy drink, she and her baby would still be safe, as long as it was moderate consumption with careful timing. Thaís even took to the comments to defend the drink’s safety.

90 Day Fiancé Fans Need To Stop Commenting On Everything

There may, however, be a bigger problem at play. If reality TV stars feel the need to look a certain way, it’s only because audiences feel the need to control their favorite cast members, on and off-screen. Nonetheless, this isn’t the first time Thaís has been criticized by fans on Instagram. Chalk it up to main character syndrome, but every person thinks they know what’s best for one another, especially fans with their favorite stars. This becomes a major problem when they are real people. Since Thaís’ career depends upon her showcasing her life, fans will, unfortunately, butt in.

The 90 Day Fiancé franchise is no stranger to some toxicity from fans, even if concerns come from a place of genuineness. While Thaís certainly isn’t at fault for society’s unhelpful beauty standards, perhaps she could use a break from the zeitgeist for a bit. Now that she's a mother, Thaís has no time for trolls.
