90 Day Fiancé star Thaís Ramone recently shared a terrifying travel story, and reveals she feared for the life of her daughter. Thaís moved to the U.S. on 90 Day Fiancé season 9, which featured her marriage to Patrick Mendes. Though there were some ups and downs in their relationship before the wedding, it seems to be smooth sailing for the couple since their time on the show. Patrick and Thaís recently welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Aleesi, and the couple couldn’t be happier.

Patrick and Thaís recently revealed that they have moved from Texas to Nevada, though the couple are taking a trip for the holidays. However, weather conditions across the U.S. are not ideal for flying, and Thaís shared on Instagram that her flight was very scary. “OMG there was a TERRIBLE storm and horrible turbulence, I thought we were going to die, seriously,” Thaís told her followers, adding, “I wanted to cry because Aleesi hasn’t lived her life yet.” In the photo Thaís added, she and Patrick have their hands up, seemingly in prayer, and Thaís added the caption, “Thanks God.”

90 Day Fiancé Stars Thaís & Patrick Are Thriving As New Parents

Though the couple struggled during 90 Day Fiancé season 9, now that Patrick and Thaís are living on their own, without Patrick’s brother John, they seem to be doing much better. Welcoming a baby can be a time of enormous stress, but Thaís and Patrick are enjoying their time as new parents. They have been posting nothing but loving photos and videos of Aleesi, and it appears they’re absolutely smitten with their new baby girl. While fans had their worries about the couple, Patrick and Thaís appear to be stronger than ever.

Thaís recent story is certainly a scary one, and perhaps one that many fans can relate to. Many regions in the U.S. are experiencing a massive winter storm that has led to unprecedented levels of flight cancelations. It’s surprising that the 90 Day Fiancé season 9 couple were able to get a flight out of Nevada at all, given how backed up most airports across the U.S. are at the moment. But because of the winter storm and harsh weather conditions, it’s not surprising that the couple’s plane hit major turbulence. Still, the experience was understandably terrifying, especially for the new parents.

Thankfully the turbulence on Thaís and Patrick’s flight was short-lived, and the two appear to have gotten to their destination safely. It’s telling that in a time of potential danger, Thaís’ first thoughts were of her daughter’s safety rather than her own. Though some 90 Day Fiancé fans have called Thaís superficial, she seems to have stepped into motherhood with joy and dedication. Aleesi clearly has two very loving parents who will always want what’s best for their daughter.
