It wasn’t love at first sight for Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester on 90 Day Fiancé... love happened on Day 4 instead. What was meant to be a one night stand soon turned into a full-blown marriage for TLC’s Tania and Syngin. Their marriage did blow up explosively over their three 90 Day Fiancé seasons. Syngin might not be Tania’s soulmate but he did leave South Africa behind to be with his wife on a recent episode. Although this TLC couple is somehow still together, 90 Day Fiancé fans have a lot of unanswered questions about Tania, and here’s everything to know!

Tania Maduro had landed in South Africa to meet a completely different man, but ended up spending the night with a bartender named Syngin, who'd she’d met while partying. Tania, 30, gave her number to him not once but twice, and followed it up with a four-month vacation with Syngin, 29. Soon Syngin flew to America on a K-1 visa. “You’re going to be my 90 Day Fiancé,” Tania told Syngin when they joined the reality TV show. However, Tania let her fans down when she left on a month-long trip to Costa Rica. She went there to study natural medicine and remedies during Syngin’s '90 days'. The South African started doubting Tania’s commitment, but married her anyway. Their complicated story took a turn for the worse when they had to go back to Cape Town for a family emergency. Tania and Syngin fought incessantly over his future plans and his insistence on staying back in South Africa. However, a recent 90 Day Fiancé episode saw the couple fly back to America for a second shot at love. While Syngin will still have to decide what exactly he’ll do for work in Colchester, Connecticut, fans can look at Tania’s background to puzzle out the couple's future together.

Originally from Groton, CT, Tania has Venezuelan heritage, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree (with event management) from Johnson & Wales University. She started working towards this degree after moving out at 19. Tania also worked as a dealer in a casino, as per LinkedIn. After graduation, she became a sales and marketing coordinator at Hotel Providence, RI. It could have been her own background in bartending that drew Tania to Syngin, as she had worked for over three years at Big Night Entertainment Group in Boston, MA, doing VIP bottle service. The 90 Day Fiancé personality later shifted to Joie de Vivre Hotels in San Francisco, CA, where she was the hotel rooftop bartender, earning $20 + tips per hour for about three years. At that point, she had a nasty accident and injured her foot. The Lisfranc injury with a broken metatarsal led to a hiatus in the 90 Day Fiancé star's bartending career. Afterwards, she prioritized herbal medicine as a career.

On the personal front, the 90 Day Fiancé star, who stands tall at 1.78m, recently shared a lot of interesting facts on her 30th birthday on June 14. Tania told her Instagram fans that she loves camping, game nights, bachata, living-room dancing, and beaches. Being an older child with a younger sister Tiana, Tania was “parentified at a young age.” She had a traumatic experience in childhood, when she was “molested multiple times” before she even turned five. Tania grew up with the Catholic faith and santeria at home, but left the church before her confirmation. Since then, she has been on a religious and spiritual self-exploration. At 25, Netflix documentaries politicized the 90 Day Fiancé celeb and made her view the world through a “racial-class lens.” The search for a “decolonized world” may have led Tania from the popular reality show 90 Day Fiancé to become a social activist, managing the group Democracy Spring. which led to participation in the largest civil disobedience action of 2016, with a march from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C.

The 90 Day Fiancé star assured fans via Twitter that Syngin now has a work permit, which means Tania can finally have the life she’s dreamt of having with her husband in America. The TLC couple has stayed together through quarantine, but will be seen addressing further relationship drama in the upcoming Tell All episode. Will the 90 Day Fiancé bartender couple manage to shake their struggles off?
