Tania from 90 Day Fiancé believed that checking in with her future spouse was an old-fashioned notion. Tania has had a hard time giving up her freedom in the last couple of episodes, leading Syngin to second guess her commitment to him.

29-year-old Tania and 29-year-old Syngin, met after Tania went to South Africa to meet another man from a dating app. After that relationship fell through, Tania still decided to still make the trip and that's where she met bartender Syngin. After meeting him, she went home with him that night and ended up staying with him for months in his South African home. By all appearances, they seem like a suitable couple, however, it is the lack of common ground this couple has which is worrying to audiences. On the last episode of 90 Day Fiancé, fans have been watching as Syngin has been alone for 30 of the 90 days in Tania's half-finished she-shed in her mother's backyard. Tania left to take an herbalist course in Costa Rica for a month and has been reluctantly keeping in contact with her lonely fiancé. Last week showed an argument between Syngin and Tania over video chat after Tania has been too busy to call Syngin while he waits beside the phone.

In a sneak peek from TLC viewers found Tania at her wit's end with her fiancé as she believes he is too needy. While Tania was away in Costa Rica, Syngin assumed he would have regular contact with his wife to be but was not hearing from her as often as he would have liked. On a girl’s night out Tania and Syngin became embroiled in a huge argument that left both wondering if this relationship was right for either one of them. In the sneak peek of Sunday's upcoming episode, Tania told the cameras that she felt that there needed to be more compromise and trust in their relationship. The reality star also noted that her future husband was not secure in himself which caused friction between them as well. Tania decided to call her mother, whom Syngin is staying with while she is away on her trip to ask for some much-needed advice.

Tania 90 Day Fiance

The reality star told her mother that her future son-in-law was giving her a hard time and demanded that she message him when she arrived home from the club. Tania’s mother was brutally honest and told her daughter that since they were going to be married couple it would be courteous to check in with one another, saying it was normal behavior for many married couples. Upon hearing the advice Tania immediately became defensive saying that times have changed as normal married couple use to mean that the woman stayed home while the man worked and that the woman would also take the husband's last name, and how gender roles have become a thing of the past and ended her speech with "times change." Tania’s no-nonsense mother told her daughter that either she would have to compromise or remain single. The reality star still believed that better communication was "old school" and was not sure she wanted to commit to that way of thinking.

However, Tania's mother had a good word of advice for her daughter. She pointed out that there are only two outcomes to this situation - either Tania compromises with her fiancé or she stays single. The couple has continued to have minor arguments all season and TLC teased a blow out between the couple that will be featured on this Sunday's new episode.
