Recent Instagram posts have fueled rumors that Syngin Colchester and Tania Maduro from 90 Day Fiancé are divorced, and that Syngin is dating another woman. Although the couple has not officially confirmed or denied that they have split up, posts on the Instagram accounts of both Syngin and a woman from Arizona named Erin make it look like the two are dating. However, a recent story posted by Syngin makes it seem like the rumors are false.
Fans were first introduced to Tania and Syngin in season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé. Tania met bartender Syngin while on a trip to his home country of South Africa, and brought him back to her home state of Connecticut. The two had to deal with unusual problems, such as living together in a shed on Tania's mother's property. They also did not get the full 90 days as most couples did, as Tania left for Costa Rica in the middle of their 90 day period. The pair got married at the end of the season. Fans met the couple again in season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happy Ever After? They spent much of the season arguing because Tania claimed Syngin drank too much alcohol and wanted him to find a job. After a trip to South Africa during which Tania got upset with Syngin during a gathering with his family and stormed away crying, fans of the franchise were speculating that the couple would soon divorce.
It seemed like the rumors may be true when Syngin began appearing in the Instagram posts of a woman named Erin who lives in Arizona. However, the South African reality TV star squashed these rumors earlier this week. Syngin reposted Erin's photo of the two of them on his Instagram story, along with the caption "Thanks for your friendship." Tania also recently claimed in an Instagram comment that Erin and Syngin are just friends.
However, other activity on Instagram suggests otherwise. On September 12, Erin, who has since changed her Instagram bio to read "Apparently the Mystery Girl from Arizona", posted an Instagram picture of herself with a caption about a "boy she met." Five days later, she posted a picture of her and Syngin sitting very close together and holding a sign in their teeth after just finishing the "One Chip Challenge." Syngin also took to Instagram in September to share a picture of him traveling through Arizona. One fan commented "Where is your significant other, Tania?" to which Syngin replied "not sure." To make things even more confusing, popular 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates confirmed that Syngin was in L.A. filming for the popular spin-off Discovery Plus series 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life. John also claimed that a source told him Syngin is “most likely” appearing on the show with the “new girl from Arizona.”
With all the conflicting information going around about the status of Syngin and Erin's relationship, fans might not know what to believe. Although it seems highly unlikely that Syngin would use the caption "Thanks for your friendship" when posting a picture with a romantic interest, with all the media hype about his new girlfriend, it does seem very likely that he may have used that caption just to throw people off. 90 Day Fiancé fans will just have to continue following the cast on social media in order to find out.
