Syngin has made it known that he feels suffocated in America and refuses to raise his potential future children there. The reality star is not even sure he wants to go back to Connecticut with his wife. Tania and Syngin have not been on the same page ever since Tania’s accident. For quite a while now, the couple has been getting under one another’s skin. Tania and Syngin met after Tania visited South Africa. But fans learned she overstayed her welcome after shacking up with Syngin and his two roommates for two months. The couple decided to go through with their shotgun wedding when Syngin came to America, but now are regretting the decision to wed before they really got to know each other.
Syngin's laidback South African attitude is a huge issue for the couple’s marriage, as are Tania’s controlling tendencies. During TLC’s sneak peek, fans watched as Syngin told his family he wished he could extend his trip to his home country. His comments left his relatives doubting his marriage to Tania would survive. Syngin’s mother bluntly asked if he was "wasting his journey." The reality star admitted that he does not know if they should stay married, and his family knows his free spirit ways are causing a massive amount of stress for the couple. Tania also made it clear that she can no longer put her life on hold for her irresponsible husband.
Fans questioned what Syngin's mother meant by wasting his journey. Many feel Syngin is not the type to be tied down to a 9-5 job or family. Instead, he just wants to work to make money and do what makes him happy. The couple’s issues already boiled over at the family braai, which left everyone feeling very uncomfortable. However, if the couple's constant battles continue, their marriage might not survive much longer anyway.
