The popular alum of 90 Day Fiancé and husband of Tania Maduro, Syngin Colchester, was in a horrifying hiking accident in which he fell twice and injured both ankles. The free-spirited Syngin from South Africa has recently revealed his plan of camping and checking out state parks on a road trip without Tania. The exciting revelation had come from Syngin after a long Instagram break of four months since his 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? stint. But the thrill-seeking adventure has ended up becoming a thriller for the reality TV star instead.

Alongside Tania, Syngin last appeared on season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, where the Cape Town resident refused to give in to “the American dream.” Homesick even after coming back to South Africa, Syngin had regular, and mostly awkward fights with Tania in front of his family and friends. But the 90 Day Fiancé couple returned to Connecticut in the finale, where Syngin, who was chided for being an alcoholic even got a job, as Tania, who never considered him her “soulmate” applied for his green card. But Syngin’s recent solo trip did raise a few eyebrows as fans speculated marriage troubled with Tania. However, 90 Day Fiancé star Syngin’s plan of “having a blast and going down south,” ended up going south, quite literally.

Amidst posting Instagram updates of his hike in rural West Virginia, 90 Day Fiancé star Syngin Colchester stopped midway to update his fans on how he was in the middle of nowhere after falling down and spraining his ankles. With no phone signal, and him screaming in pain, Syngin was scared and “called for help but there was nobody.” Tania’s hubby shared, “It was me and only me that could get my self out of that mountain to safty..,” before adding that park rangers finally found him “at the top by the waterfall” and took him to the hospital. “This mite put an end to my trip,” added a crestfallen Syngin as the videos showed him narrating his painful ordeal to the camera.

A little later, the fan-favorite 90 Day Fiancé celeb Syngin, who recently took a long break from Instagram, posted another update showing himself with crutches and speaking of breaking his left ankle and “very very badly” spraining his right one, requiring 6-8 weeks of rest. Syngin spoke about crying at the doctor’s but also faced another dilemma about how he had driven himself to the campsite but obviously couldn’t drive back anymore. “But everything happens for a reason in life and I will take this chance to see why and for what this all happend... maybe something els was going to happen or to show me something,” shared the 90 Day Fiancé personality, smiling through his pain.

Using the hashtags “lifechanging” and “findthelightinthedark,” Syngin joked that he’ll keep watching Discovery and NatGeo for six weeks now to “get his nature in.” In the post’s comments, however, concerned 90 Day Fiancé fans couldn’t help but asked Syngin why his wife or her relatives couldn’t come and get him. “She probably has a retreat in Siberia that she has to get to,” joked one TLC viewer, with a second comment saying, “If it was my husband, I would drive all night to bring him back home.” Meanwhile, Tania has not commented about Syngin on her own Instagram at all, making 90 Day Fiancé fans wonder if they’re even still together.
