90 Day Fiancé’s The Other Way’s Sumit admits to messing up by revealing he has a secret wife and wants to fight for Jenny. In his confessional, Sumit made a stance saying that it was time he fought for what he wanted, and what he wanted was to be with Jenny.
The two originally met when Sumit catfished her, saying he was a young model when in reality he worked in a call center. Even though he lied to her then, she still made the original visit to India to meet him, but his parents refused to accept their relationship, sending her home. Most fans find it hard to believe the couple could have much in common, especially with a 30 year age gap, but it did seem as if they couple had true feelings for one another before it went downhill.
On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Jenny and Sumit finally had the chance to talk through their feelings in front of the cameras. Sumit was granted permission from his family, who was holding him hostage, to go and speak with his secret American lover. The couple had not seen each other for seven days, but Jenny chose to wait patiently for his return to their apartment. The week before Sumit’s family had found out where the two were shacking up, his father in law ambushed the blindsided couple, dragging Sumit out of the house.
According to the reality star, by Indian law, his wife has to agree to the divorce, or it would be nearly impossible for him to be with Jenny. Sumit explained to Jenny that he was not sure his wife would agree, but he had hope. Jenny asked why he did not tell her he was married for nearly two years and let her give up her whole life back in Palm Springs. Sumit only replied that he kept wanting one more day with her before he broke her heart. The New Delhi native admitted that it was not fair that he continued to lead Jenny on. At that moment, Jenny dropped the bombshell that she would be going back to America to make her decision.
Even though Sumit finally said that he was ready to stand up and fight for their relationship, it may be too little too late. With Jenny headed back to the United States fresh off of meeting Sumit’s actual wife, fans are hopeful that she will come to her senses and dump him for lying to her for so long. The couple’s future does not seem very encouraging, especially when it comes to asking for a divorce from his first wife.
