On the season finale of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Sumit Singh and Jenny Slatten finally got married and viewers are absolutely floored. Many fans assumed Sumit and Jenny would never get married, but they were proven wrong when Jenny and Sumit wed in secret. It seems the unlikely 90 Day Fiancé couple got their happy ending after all.
Jenny and Sumit have had a lot of ups and downs in their relationship, and this season of The Other Way was no exception. The couple struggled with finding alternative ways to legally keep Jenny in India that didn’t involve actually getting married. It was clear Jenny was getting frustrated, and Sumit didn’t help the situation by inviting his parents to live with them. Fortunately for Jenny, Sumit’s parents’ astrologer talked some sense into them and they decided to stop standing in the way of Sumit and Jenny’s relationship. However, even after getting the all-clear, Sumit was extremely nervous to get married to Jenny, and fans didn’t think he was ever going to go through with a wedding.
Fans were shocked when Sumit actually married Jenny in the finale because they felt he has been stringing her along for years. There were many excuses and roadblocks Sumit used to explain why he couldn’t marry Jenny, ranging from his previous marriage to his parents not approving of his relationship. With no support from Sumit’s family or friends, it seemed like there was a lot standing in the way of a marriage to Jenny, and the decks were certainly stacked against them. But eventually, this season, Sumit’s mother told Jenny she should back off, and the couple was finally free to commit to each other for life.
However, despite there being no more roadblocks, Sumit seemed more terrified than ever at the thought of getting married to Jenny. His body language was troubling and indicated Sumit was extremely nervous and uncomfortable. He even put a pause on the marriage paperwork and didn’t tell Jenny about it at first. At that point, viewers assumed Sumit never had any intention of marrying Jenny, and figured his nerves were because his back was against the wall and felt he had no way out. But surprisingly, Sumit got over his cold feet and proved fans wrong.
Though Jenny and Sumit got married without telling his parents, they still did the deed, and Jenny finally got what she always wanted. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way stars still face an uphill battle with getting Sumit’s family to approve of and include Jenny, but at least they’re married and Jenny can stay in the country. Jenny and Sumit’s happy ending was a long time coming, and fans are stunned that the couple actually tied the knot.
