After recovering from COVID-19, 90 Day Fiancé stars Sumit Singh and Jenny Slatten asked their fans to pray for India. While fighting with the coronavirus pandemic, India got hit by cyclone Tauktae that developed in the Arabian Sea. India recovered from the first wave of coronavirus pretty quickly after imposing lockdown and obeying protocols. Even fellow countries and the World Health Organization praised India's efforts to curb the number of COVID cases. However, 2021 is proving to be disastrous for India. The second wave of coronavirus hit major cities at the beginning of April.

The country recorded over 300,000 new cases every day in a month, and over 3,000 COVID patients are dying every day. Although the number of infections has now started decreasing, Indian hospitals are still facing shortages of beds and oxygen supplies. Amid this chaos, Sumit and Jenny experienced a silver lining. The duo updated 90 Day Fiancé fans that they have almost recovered from COVID. The 90 Day Fiancé couple posted a glammed-up picture and shared that they are 90% recovered. Sumit and Jenny were experiencing the classic symptoms of COVID, such as shortness of breath.

India is now facing another challenging situation: an extremely severe cyclonic storm. The cyclone Tauktae has hit 12 districts of Gujarat, a state on the western coast of India. At least 26 people are dead, and over 50 are missing. Another region of India, Mumbai, is ravaged by heavy rains. Sumit posted a Story on Instagram appealing to his fans to pray for India. He said that cyclone Tauktae has done a lot of damage, and it is the last thing India needs right now. Sumit wrote, "It moved across the coast to many states as well. PRAY FOR INDIA."

He also shared a scary video of water waves crashing on the walls of the iconic Gateway of India. Due to heavy rains and strong winds, house roofs are collapsing and trees are falling. Jenny also posted on Facebook urging her fans to pray for India. Some concerned fans asked Jenny whether she was safe or suffered any damage. While replying to the fans, the Texas native and 90 Day Fiancé star Jenny revealed that this has happened in the Southwestern region of India, and she lives with Sumit in North India.

At the moment, Sumit and Jenny are only witnessing heavy rains in their area. The only damage they have faced is the leaking ceiling in their bathroom. The couple is still on lockdown and waiting to get their COVID vaccines. Jenny feels lucky not to be affected by the cyclone but is devastated to learn about the loss of life. A fan said, "I feel that India is under attack and being bombarded with sorrow and sadness. Will continue to pray." Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers prayed for India, and asked Sumit and Jenny to stay safe.
