Plenty of startling revelations about Steven Johnston and his now-wife Alina Shaimardanova’s relationship were made on the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All. With Steven and Alina being a new couple entering the 90 Day Fiancé franchise in TOW season 3, viewers looked forward to their story after watching the trailers. However, Steven made audiences uncomfortable from his introduction itself when his goofy antics and silly jokes about kidnapping and selling organs came across as outright creepy. Still, that was just the tip of the iceberg because, during the reunion, viewers found out how Steven was cheating on Alina by texting nine girls at one go.
Alina was aware of the red flags exposed during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3. However, she thought she saw change in Steven when he deleted his social media and impressed her by singing an original composition on a yacht. When viewers at home pleaded with Alina to run, she ignored the warning signs and married Steven anyway. It was quite apparent Steven wasn’t ready to say goodbye to his bachelor life, which he was living regardless by disrespecting the same rules of religion he expected Alina to follow. Still, viewers continued to be amazed by Alina every time she wished to defend Steven.
This is exactly what Alina did in front of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way cameras when she said she can’t just walk away. “I have a hope that he loves me enough to be able to change,” Alina expressed, as Steven’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa, who he also cheated on, cried and told Alina to leave him.
Steven Exposed By Ex-Girlfriend Vanessa
A deleted scene from before Steven flew to Turkey to get married to Alina featured him meeting up with Vanessa. Steven asked Vanessa for advice on how “not to make the same mistakes” but not before he mentioned she looked good in her picture on Instagram. Of course, Steven didn't tell Vanessa he was in a relationship with Alina and, after she showed up at the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way set, she revealed they met when she was at her lowest. In the three or four months that Steven and Vanessa dated, he’d gone to Russia, and she’d been okay with him seeing other people as long as he didn’t go all the way. However, Steven betrayed Vanessa's trust and ended up sleeping with three Russian women at once when he was there.
Steven Has Continued Disrespecting Alina After Marriage
“Since we’ve been married, Alina and I’s relationship has been a lot better than I was expecting married life to be. But I think trust is still a really big issue,” is what Steven said before the Tell-All started. Yet, once Steven was put in the hot seat, he spilled he and Alina have been fighting and revealed, until a week ago, “probably about nine girls” were sending him inappropriate messages and images. Of course, Steven responded to them and encouraged the behavior by saying, “wow, you’re so hot” and sending pictures of himself. Even though one was a selfie of Steven “fully clothed,” he used the caption, “wow I have a really long tongue, too bad I don’t know how to use it” on it.
Alina Gave Steven Another Chance
“I’ve seen everything,” Alina told 90 Day Fiancé host Shaun Robinson while describing the girls had sent her screenshots. She was also aware of Steven’s “repressed urges” about him wanting to try a threesome. She heard Vanessa saying that Steven has gotten worse instead of changing. Still, Alina already decided she would give him a chance, and it would “be the last time.” The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple also revealed they’d set up a meeting with a psychologist because Steven knows he needs “help.” In October, a Reddit fan photographed Steven and Alina vacationing in Greece, which suggests they are still together despite it all.
