90 Day Fiancé star Stephanie Matto’s hospital visit caused her to retire from selling fart jars, but here’s what really happened and what led to the YouTuber having “heart attack” symptoms which landed her in ER. Currently, a part of 90 Day: The Single Life, Stephanie's the most talked-about cast member from the TLC series after announcing the launch of her whacky business of selling farts. With each mason jar priced at a hefty $1000 apiece, Stephanie has managed to make $200,000 since she put her flatulence up for sale in November 2022.

The 31-year-old Stephanie has now taken to selling her fart jars as NFTs post-retirement, which is also turning out to be a profitable decision for the aplastic anemia survivor. Stephanie started selling her farts as an experiment on her 18 plus content website, Unfiltrd, a competitor for OnlyFans. After going viral across the world for getting featured as the “fart jar girl” Stephanie inspired a few, shocked many, and has received ample criticism as well. She feels she’s harmed no one with her fun little business, but 90 Day Fiancé fans feel everything Stephanie does is for attention, including her hospital trip.

However, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Stephanie recalled the series of unfortunate events that took place the week before Christmas. Since Stephanie had a lot of orders from promising a lot of clients, she amped up her intake of protein, including the beans and the protein shakes. “One day I really, really, really overdid it. I was feeling kind of weird all throughout the day, but it got really bad when I lay down in bed that night, published writer Stephanie confessed. She remembers having a “squeezing tightness feeling” around her heart which was uncomfortable and kept getting worse. “I would breathe in and I wouldn’t be able to breathe in all the way because it would feel like a tightening around my heart,” added Stephanie who’s in remission after a very severe case of aplastic anemia that lasted for three years.

Which is what makes Stephanie feel “always paranoid and overly cautious.” Sensing she needed help, Stephanie called up her friend who brought her to the emergency room. Because Stephanie was also on birth control “for the first time in three years,” she thought to herself, “Maybe I’m having a stroke, and maybe that’s why I’m feeling like this,” Connecticut resident Stephanie was admitted right away. She got her own room, and the doctors ran an EKG and did a blood panel. When they asked Stephanie if she was on any new medication or had made drastic changes in her diet, Stephanie spilled what she was eating. She was too embarrassed to mention the fart jars though and claimed that she works “out a lot” perhaps to justify the excess protein.

A few hours later, Stephanie’s blood test came back along with the EKG results which were perfect. “This honestly sounds like you just have really bad gas pain, so just try taking the gas suppressant and avoid these foods that you’ve been eating,” the experts told Stephanie. It was the deciding moment when Stephanie was basically asked to stop eating the stuff that was running her business. Still, Stephanie always farts jars to be her “forever” which is when the NFT idea was developed. While Stephanie has not been so lucky in finding a successful relationship on 90 Day Fiancé yet, her priceless farts have surely come into her life as a golden ticket.
