The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has a long history of introducing several financially irresponsible cast members who have no idea how to make, save, or use money. The TLC show essentially has an American partner falling in love overseas and bringing their international lovers over to the United States to get married. Oftentimes, these are people who can barely earn a living, and are wanting to take on the added responsibility of financially supporting a second human being. Sometimes, things can become worse when the international partner may actually believe that their husband or wife-to-be is the richest person they’ll ever meet.

Joining the show could be the last straw for these 90 Day Fiancé cast members who want to earn some income at the cost of letting go of their dignity. However, it's not like the paychecks are enough to cover their debts, even if their stints as influencers and Cameo stars might help them get by while they are actively on reality TV. These financially illiterate folks appear on the franchise every so often, along with some cast members who are just plain sketchy when it comes to making and spending money.

90 Day Fiancé's Daniele Gates

When Daniele Gates first debuted on Love In Paradise: The Caribbean, she was working as a high school history teacher for 19 years, and a holistic wellness coach in New York. Upon her comeback in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4, Daniele wanted to leave her life in NYC behind, and start over in the Dominican Republic after marrying local resident Yohan Geronimo. However, Daniele had no idea how she would earn a living in the Dominican Republic. “I’ll eat mangoes” and “I’m gonna manifest it” were Danielle’s replies to her friends when they asked how she would financially support herself. Moving to another country also meant giving up her pension, because if she stayed back one more year, she could make an extra $15,000 every year. Because of Daniele’s callous attitude toward money, it came as no surprise when it was recently reported that Daniele had filed for bankruptcy last year.

Danielle Mullins Jbali is also a victim of poor financial decisions. Despite having starred in multiple seasons of 90 Day Fiancé, Danielle admitted she was struggling to make ends meet. She was working two jobs and going to school full-time, and was also behind on her lot rent. Danielle was overburdening herself by doing Cameos and selling and promoting products online to come up with cash to pay off her due amount. The mobile home park had even taken Danielle to court. Danielle had asked for prayers and was looking to set up a GoFundMe to recover from her financial hardships. While she claimed she didn’t spend her show money foolishly and bought a house, appliances, and put a down payment on a newer car, Danielle had a criminal past that was unforgettable.

After all, Mohamed had claimed Danielle used his credit card and made a fake account in his name. According to InTouch, Danielle said, “Yes, I used someone’s credit card and it was a mistake. Yes, in the beginning I was charged with [four] or [five] felonies… This happened in 2005 and I regret it and I paid my restitution, courts costs, and served probation.” An alleged “arrest record” for Danielle showed six arrests and six criminal charges, with money theft and forgery included.

90 Day Fiancé's Jibri Bell

Jibri Bell from 90 Day Fiancé season 9 recently claimed to be a millionaire. He was accused of spending his money on trips and his wife Miona Bell’s visa process during his season. Because of this, he had to leave Los Angeles and stay with his parents in South Dakota. After Jibri and Miona married, Miona started her business of ponytail extensions and wigs that supposedly helped the couple earn $20,000 in a week. “From living with my parents to millionaire in less than a year...she is incredible,” Jibri recently wrote in his Instagram story, reposted by u/90daylover on Reddit.

To back up their claims, Jibri and Miona have both been flaunting expensive brand-new Porsche cars on their Instagram pages. Reddit user jentastik7 wrote, “I wonder how much debt her company has? What percentage do they actually own? After all the bills and taxes are paid I doubt they are millionaires." Another fan medicalbillsrus added, “If they are, they won’t be long the way they spend money. Or pretend to buy cars. They are trying so hard to stay relevant and get back on tv,” referring to 90 Day Fiancé couple Miona and Jibri and how they are spending their money.
