The 90 Day Fiancé franchise revolves around searching for heartwarming love, but some partners were a little meaner than their counterparts. The franchise originally began by following couples who had 90 days to marry because they were bringing their partner to America on a K-1 visa. Many couples were successful in their journeys, like Paola and Russ Mayfield.

When they first appeared in 90 Day Fiancé season 1, the couple had their fair share of trials and tribulations. Between the major cultural differences and living with Russ's parents, the couple struggled. The pair eventually moved out and improved their relationship, which made their love stronger despite their turmoil. Thus, Paola and Russ became fan-favorites. However, as the series progressed, some couples made viewers question why they were together to begin with.

Despite many of the franchise couples looking to find love and make it to the altar, viewers often struggled with the dynamics of some relationships. Although fans enjoy the occasional riotous couple with a few chaotic moments, some 90 Day Fiancé cast members took it a little too far. With jealous tendencies, snarky attitudes, and borderline verbally and mentally abusive behavior, it's no wonder these stars were awarded the villain status at some point during their journey.

Angela Deem

The 55-year-old woman with a powerful temperament has appeared in four seasons of the franchise with her laid-back husband Michael Ilesanmi. With each appearance, Angela Deem's behavior worsened, which often left Michael and viewers alike scratching their heads in wonder. Angela canceled their wedding countless times, smashed a cake in his face, continuously called him names, and embarrassed him in front of his family. It appears the 90 Day Fiancé franchise duo is still together, but Michael is still in Nigeria.

Jasmine Pineda

In Jasmine Pineda's defense, Gino Palazzolo did creepily begin their first in-person meeting by gifting a pregnancy test and an electric toothbrush. He also had the tendency to lie to avoid confrontations, though it never worked. Jasmine admitted to her jealous tendencies from the beginning, but her explosive behavior was a different concern. While her fiery personality and low tolerance for nonsense can be admirable, the way she often spoke to Gino was downright mean. Gino and viewers often wondered if she was in it for love or money.

Andrei Castravet

Andrei Castravet had a difficult time picking a career path, but was still determined to remain the alpha man. It was clear the 90 Day Fiancé star had a controlling personality with a hint of narcissism. He also had no problem using his wife Libby Potthast's favoritism with her father to his advantage. However, in his defense, he generally seemed to dislike everyone, including Libby, which was evident when he interrupted her amid pregnancy woes with the iconic line, "don't terrorize me with your pregnancy."

It's sad to see in a show dedicated to finding soulmates that so many cast members would turn into franchise villains. But it appears the tradition will continue as newcomer Bilal Hazziez has already been awarded the season 9 villain title with his antics towards his more sympathetic fiancé Shaeeda Sween. Not all relationships seem problematic though, as long-lasting 90 Day Fiancé couples like David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan prove. As a result, viewers are eager to learn how newcomers to 90 Day Fiancé will fare in the future.
