The 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast members are put in difficult situations, and though many of their families have serious concerns about their life choices, sometimes they can be surprisingly accepting. It’s not always easy to open your family up to a stranger, but there have been a few instances in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise where families were supportive to an unusual degree.
It’s far more common in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise that cast members’ families are suspicious of the foreign partner they’ve been introduced to, and are usually hesitant to give their blessing. It’s not too surprising, given that their love one is usually making major changes to their lives for their partner.
That’s why it’s so surprising when a cast member’s family fully embraces their relative's foreign partner. It’s not often that the families on the show are so accepting, so the ones who do welcome their new in-laws with open arms are even more memorable.
Evelyn Cormier & David Vázquez Zermeño
Many fans felt uncomfortable watching season 5 couple Evelyn and David because Evelyn was just 18 and her fiancé David was nearly 10 years older than her. However, that clearly didn’t bother Evelyn’s family, who were all in favor of the couple’s marriage. Evelyn’s family was very religious and her parents married when they were very young as well, so they didn’t think anything was wrong with Evelyn and David’s relationship.
Michael Jessen & Juliana Custodio
This couple recently broke up, but when Michael first brought Juliana to America in season 7, viewers were amazed by how quickly Michael’s family took a shine to his Brazilian fiancé. Michael’s two kids instantly bonded with Juliana, and even Michael’s ex-wife graciously welcomed her to the family and officiated the couple’s wedding.
Robert Springs & Anny Francisco
Robert and Anny’s adorable family is now beloved by fans, but viewers weren’t always so keen on their relationship. However, Robert’s son Bryson was extremely accepting of Anny when she first arrived in the States. Before Anny’s arrival, Robert was worried how she and Bryson would get along, but their initial meeting went better than Robert could have hoped. Bryson quickly grew to love Anny to the point where he wanted to sleep in the same bed with her and Robert.
Natalie Mordovtseva & Mike Youngquist
Mike’s friends and family weren’t over the moon about Natalie when she arrived in America, but Natalie’s mother in Ukraine was the biggest supporter of their relationship. Natalie’s mom absolutely adored Mike and wanted the couple to get married and start having babies right away. Mike and Natalie eventually broke up, and Natalie’s mother probably took it hard.
Ronald Smith & Tiffany Franco
Though Tiffany and Ronald are planning to divorce, there was a time when the two seemed madly in love with each other. Tiffany’s family in the U.S. didn’t love the idea of her moving with her son Daniel to South Africa to be with Ronald, but Ronald’s family was extremely welcoming to Tiffany and Daniel. Ronald’s mom Ria eagerly assumed the role of grandma to Daniel, and she’s expressed a desire to remain in their lives despite Tiffany and Ronald’s breakup.
It’s understandable that most families of 90 Day Fiancé cast members are hesitant about their loved ones’ relationship and decisions. But then there are others whose overabundance of acceptance is downright shocking to fans who marvel at these wholesome franchise families.
