After multiple requests, David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan from 90 Day Fiancé released the first episode of their spin-off show, Spice It Up with David and Annie, and they've followed up with even more episodes. The charming cooking show, which debuted on November 12, already has hundreds of thousands of views, via the 90 Day Fiancé YouTube channel.

When they first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season five, the couple faced many personal and financial obstacles due to David's unemployment. David couldn't afford to pay rent, and at one heartbreaking point in the show, both 90 Day Fiancé stars had to move into a storage unit apartment. The two of them heavily relied on David's friends to cover their everyday living expenses and visa fees, and fans were skeptical of David due to his drinking problem. Also, family members didn't approve of the couple's 24-year age gap. Now that the couple has landed a spin-off show, things are finally looking up.

In the first episode, Annie demonstrates how to make Thai basil chicken, one of her favorite recipes that she learned from her mom. According to Annie, it's a dish commonly made in the countryside, where everyone typically grows garlic, chili peppers, and other vegetables in their own backyards. Annie makes it clear that she's an uncompromising chef, and aims for flavor and authenticity. "How spicy are we gonna make it today?" David asks. "I want to be like flaming!" she says. Enjoy a little taste of the fun couple below, via 90 Day Fiancé on YouTube.

In the video, we see her instruct David on how to chop fresh Thai chili peppers, onions, and basil while she prepares the chicken. At one point, David jokes that the onions made him cry as much as he did when he couldn't afford her $15,000 90 Day Fiancé dowry. By the end of the seven-minute video, after much chopping, stir-frying, banter, and bickering, David and Annie present a gorgeous, mouth-watering dish. TLC also posted other recipes from David and Annie, such as spring rolls, egg fried rice, and green papaya salad.

Overall, the short and sweet spin-off is a joy to watch, especially during lockdown. It's a restrictive time when everyone seems to be experimenting in the kitchen, so the series couldn't be more relevant. Viewers have a chance to see Annie's vibrant personality shine, while they learn from a genuinely talented chef. It's also somewhat gratifying to watch her playfully boss around her husband David, who lovingly and diligently obeys her every command. He does her bidding even when she's visibly fed up with him and calls him "annoying." Given that the couple has experienced many hardships during their journey, 90 Day Fiancé fans everywhere are thrilled to see them finally flourish.
