Nigerian 90 Day Fiancé star Usman Umar, aka Sojaboy, was spotted hanging out with Michael Ilesanmi despite the explosive fight he had with Angela Deem in an episode of 90 Day: Bares All. Usman and Angela were guests in episode 10 of the Discovery+ show’s season 1 when they happened to get into a loud verbal spat while speaking with host Shaun Robinson. Georgia woman Angela accused Usman of being a scammer and the reason why she and Michael were not able to be together in America. The argument ended with Usman calling Angela a “pig” and "dumb," and her claiming that his music is bad. After all the drama, Michael and Usman’s friendly meeting made fans wonder if it had anything to do with Angela.
Both Angela and Usman debuted on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, albeit in different seasons. At the time of the episode, Angela was undergoing her weight loss makeover and was ready to start her journey on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, while Usman was there to promote his new EP. When Usman started off by saying he’s been doing well and bought a house, Angela called him out for using the show for fame. "You're full of ****. You're a scammer,” Angela told Usman, and he claimed she can’t call him a scammer as she had “no evidence.” Angela then repeatedly insulted Usman’s music by saying, “You sound like **** when you sing. You're out of tune,” and asked him, "Why don't you shut me up, *****?
Back then, Usman was shocked as he’d never uttered a bad word about Angela or Michael. “I never [spoke] with Angela. I never [spoke] with Michael,” Usman told Shaun. But according to Usman’s latest Instagram post and Stories, he’s not just met Michael finally but also called Michael “the legend of 90 Day Fiancé” on camera. “Hi 90Days Fans see who I found today, Michael is a very innocent GUY,” Usman wrote in his caption. “I just wish you had the chance to use your opportunities,” he wrote as a message for the man who’s apparently still waiting for his spousal visa after getting married to Angela in January 2020. “But you know what? Better Days Ahead,” Usman added, and also posted a video where he met Michael's friends, “The Goofballs.”
Lots of viewers turned up to comment on how they miss Michael on 90 Day Fiancé and that this is “the mashup we didn’t know we needed.” One fan asked Usman to help Michael “find a girlfriend.” Someone else wrote that both Michael and Usman “deserve the best.” It seems that Michael also has his own Instagram page now since he previously shared the @deemangela Instagram profile with Angela.
During her battle with Usman on 90 Day: Bares All, Angela said that Michael got his K-1 visa denied because people like Usman give “real” Nigerians a bad name. She mentioned people in “real” relationships such as her and Michael have to suffer and stay apart due to “scammers” like Usman. Now that Michael appears to have become friends with Usman, Angela giving her reaction would be worth watching out for. Perhaps Usman has buried the hatchet with Angela. The reason why Angela even showed resentment towards Usman was never clear. But Usman could be extending an olive branch just in case he too gets to come to the United States after marrying his “potential” 90 Day Fiancé girlfriend, Kim Menzies.
