90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers are questioning why Usman Umar, otherwise known as Sojaboy, and Kim Menzies are a part of the current season with their absurd storyline. Sojaboy appeared on Before the 90 Days season 4 with another older, American woman, Lisa Hamme, who he married in the finale. Usman openly admitted to not being in love with Lisa and that TLC and 90 Day Fiancé helped him further his fame. It seems that Sojaboy did get popular amongst his target audience.
Viewers can’t help but cringe every time they see Kim fangirling around him when she’s not even his girlfriend. Upon reaching Zanzibar, Kim made many outrageous comments such as saying that meeting Usman was a dream come true. She booked a honeymoon suite for herself in the hopes of getting to sleep with Usman. Kim declared that she wants to get her Sojaboy to America, which has been Usman’s dream since 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4. Moreover, Kim wore multiple t-shirts with Usman’s face printed on them and revealed she’s spent some of her savings all because she wants to date Usman.
It's noteworthy that Kim is doing all this for Usman when they aren’t even in a relationship yet. When Kim was left dissatisfied by Usman despite her gifting him the latest gadgets, 90 Day Fiancé viewers realized they are not a real couple. The equation between Sojaboy and Kimberly is more of a celebrity and fan and will possibly never get beyond that stage in the future. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days couples may not always wind up together, but they are usually in an actual romantic relationship. In contrast, a tweet by 90 Day Fiancé revealed that Usman used to call Kim his “entanglement” before she became his “potential” girlfriend.
In the comments, users called out the whole Usman and Kim situation for being “weird.” One TLC viewer, mssrfcali, said Kim is “Such a groupie” with a facepalming emoji. A different fan, andrea500, wrote, “By the end of this season he might be referring to her as his ‘stalker.’” Even Julia Trubkina commented, “This is look like she like exactly fan,” upon watching Kim hugging Usman during her Pillow Talk segment with husband Brandon Gibbs. Julia repeated that Kimberly is a “superfan” during the scene where Kim snapped at Usman’s assistant and manager for calling her that.
As Julia observed, Kim took flowers wearing a Sojaboy t-shirt while meeting him for the first time, which proves she’s crushing on Usman like a teenager. After all, Kim thinks she’s found her “Mikey Jackson” in Usman, who wants to come to America to replace him. TLC is treating Usman like a golden goose by focusing on his non-relationship, which raises some questions. It’s possible the entire storyline is scripted as not only is Sojaboy’s entertainment company getting publicity through the show, so is the resort they’re staying at. However, some clues suggest Kim and Usman are still together. So, perhaps Kim defied the odds by going from a potential girlfriend to a wife.
