90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Kim Menzies triggers Usman Umar aka Sojaboy by reminding him of his ex-wife Lisa Hamme. Usman and Kim’s friendship is going strong on 90 Day Fiancé, but it's unclear at this point if it will turn romantic. While Usman wants to take things slow after his split from Lisa, who tried to sabotage his career, Kim is hoping to take a different approach.

Although Kim insists she has feelings for Usman and wants to make sure they’re in a relationship by the time her trip to Zanzibar is over, that's looking unlikely at this point. It doesn't help that Kim acted like a mom-manager on Usman’s “Zara” music video set and challenged Usman’s team. For her part, Kim is doing everything she can to prove to Usman that she cares about him, while he is largely being dismissive and refusing to see her as a romantic interest. He’s not even told Kim that the “Zara” from his song is actually an ex-girlfriend.

Despite the hiccups, Kim is doing her best to move her relationship with Usman along. In a preview for episode 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days posted by 90 Day Fiancé on YouTube, Kim tries to convince Usman to stay with her in the honeymoon suite. Kim hopes that since Usman is done filming his video, they will be able to hang out together more in the remaining days of her trip. In order to get to know each other, Kim wants Usman to give up his room to somebody else on his team. Kim wants Usman to stay in her room instead, but he recalls they agreed to wait on that until they became “boyfriend and girlfriend.” The Nigerian musician accuses Kim of wanting things to be done her way. “That was what happened with my last relationship,” he tells Kim.

He accuses Kim, who gifted him a MacBook and a PlayStation, of just “trying to grab something and go back” and rushing into the relationship so she “at least” gets something out of it even if things don’t work out. “It’s not like I’m begging you for sex or anything like that,” Kim claims. This also comes as a wake-up call for her because Usman has to again say, “You know that I don't want to, from day one. That's what I said you should get your own room, I'll get my own room.” By the end of the video, Kim sees she’s fighting a losing battle with Usman and tells him to “forget it."

As 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 inches towards its finale, the fates of its couples are starting to become more obvious, especially Kim and Usman. Interestingly, Usman referred to Kim as his “sis” in an Instagram story sometime back, basically spoiling the season finale. Some say that Usman is just using Kim, if not for a green card, at least for the expensive gifts. Meanwhile, Kim is too blinded by the idea of being in a relationship with Sojaboy that she’s failing to notice his lack of romantic interest in her. If they don't end the season as a couple, hopefully, Kim and Usman at least manage to stay friends.
