The first two seasons of 90 Day: The Single Life have gotten a lot of complaints from viewers, but there are several signs that season 3 of the divisive 90 Day Fiancé spin-off will be far better than seasons 1 and 2. The cast has been the primary focus of most fans’ irritation with the show, and two seasons of unlikable stars have grated on viewers’ nerves. However, there are many promising cast members who could be added to season 3, and there are other indications that TLC is finally giving the show more resources to produce a stellar season.

The Single Life is a spin-off that started last year to explore the lives of single cast members who are attempting to navigate the dating waters and find love. However, most of the season 1 and season 2 stars’ journeys were more cringey than romantic, and some have been called out for being especially toxic. The spin-off has received mixed opinions from viewers who find the concept interesting but aren’t loving the way the show has played out.

Thankfully for fans who think The Single Life still has potential, next season could easily be the best yet. For one, many of the problematic and disliked cast members are gone because they’re now in relationships. Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods and Jeniffer Tarazona and Jesse Meester  are now engaged couples, so even if they were to get their own specials, they won’t be on The Single Life again. Stephanie Matto is also in a relationship, and Syngin Colchester has likely been quietly let go from the franchise following concerning abuse allegations about him. Clearing out some of the old cast makes way for new, more likable, stars. There have been rumors that Tania Maduro is currently filming The Single Life season 3, and there are other cast members with great potential, like Caleb Greenwood from the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.

There are also indications that the spin-off is getting more funding for season 3 and is branching out and taking risks that could pay off for viewers. Tania is reportedly filming in Aruba, so The Single Life may finally be going international in season 3. This frees up options for overseas cast members like Rose Vega or Erika Owens, who fans actually like and want to root for. And expanding the reach of the show is a good thing overall. In addition to more cast members, the international locations help keep the show from feeling stale in a visual sense. Also, viewers can see more of what it’s like to be a single person trying to date in different countries and cultures, which adds a new level of interest to the show.

Though 90 Day: The Single Life seasons 1 and 2 have been heavily criticized by viewers, it’s possible that TLC has learned from its mistakes and is taking steps to turn the spin-off into a successful show. There’s a lot of potential for compelling content if the network would just make a few changes, and the signs are good that it will actually happen.
