Fans can’t seem to get enough of the 90 Day Fiance franchise and Discovery+ is doing what it can to give the people what they want. One of their announcements is 90 Day: The Single Life. The show is set to premiere on February 21, 2021. Here’s what we know about the show so far.

The 90 Day Fiance franchise follows couples from different countries that have decided to get married. In order to get their green card, the couples have 90 days from the day the foreigner arrives in the U.S. to get married, or else the foreigner will be deported. The lure of a green card means that not everyone enters relationships with the best intentions. The show has rules against couples faking relationships, but many of the foreigners don’t seem sincere in wanting a relationship with their partner. On the other hand, many Americans seem to use marriage and green cards as a threat to have total control over the relationship.

The new series will follow some of the couples that crashed and burned in their marriages on 90 Day Fiance. Featured in the trailer are Big Ed, Colt Johnson, Molly Hopkins, Danielle Mullins-Jbali, Fernanda Flores, and Brittany Banks. Contrary to the title of the series, the stars aren’t embracing the single life, but diving back into the dating world. The trailer even includes Colt proposing to someone, though viewers aren’t shown who.

While all of the stars of 90 Day: The Single Life expressed their desire to find someone better than their ex-spouses, they seem to be repeating the same behavior that led them to unhappy relationships in the first place, going into relationships expecting to be the boss rather than an equal partner. No doubt that is why these particular stars were chosen, guaranteeing the show to have lots of drama. Characters from other entries in the 90 Day franchise have revealed that, while the shows are not 100 percent scripted, they are heavily edited and producers suggest how people should act and what to say.

While viewers will have to have a Discovery Plus to watch the new show, Discovery Plus has also announced other 90 Day spin-offs exclusive to the streaming service. With the amount of new content being offered, 90 Day Fiance fans who get the new streaming service will definitely be able to get their fill of the franchise.
