Kalani and Asuelu got married on 90 Day Fiancé season 6 after Asuelu moved to the U.S. from Samoa on the K-1 visa. However, their marital bliss didn’t last long, and over two seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, fans saw their relationship erode. Kalani has been frustrated by how immature and unhelpful Asuelu is, and Asuelu feels like Kalani doesn’t appreciate him. Fans got a window into the couple’s marriage on a recent episode of 90 Day Diaries, and viewers were shocked by how unhappy and distant Kalani and Asuelu seemed. Their demeanor and discussion about the state of their marriage had fans questioning if they’re still together—and that’s not the only thing that has sparked divorce rumors about Kalani and Asuelu.
After returning from a trip to Hawaii in March, Kalani and Asuelu have been acting suspiciously on Instagram, and Kalani hinted that something big was happening. When a fan asked her how she and the boys were doing, Kalani responded “We are doing well. Lots of changes coming for us in the next few weeks/months that I hope will make everyone happier.” Kalani didn’t say what the changes are, and it could mean a few things. On 90 Day Diaries Kalani mentioned that they would be moving from Utah to California. That’s a pretty big change and could be what she’s referring to. However, given the couple’s disconnect on 90 Day Diaries, it seems more likely that she’s referencing divorce.
The recent update depicted a marriage in crisis, and there has been more than just Kalani’s cryptic comment that has fans wondering if the couple is still together. Asuelu recently unfollowed Kalani on Instagram, which is a pretty childish move. Asuelu has been posting a lot of videos of himself singing and dancing, but nothing family related and no mention of him unfollowing his wife. Kalani hasn’t been active much recently except for her Savage X Fenty posts. The radio silence from both stars is very telling. Their marriage was always fragile but it seems to have finally reached a breaking point.
Though the 90 Day Fiancé stars haven’t confirmed anything yet, there are a lot of reasons why many fans have speculated they’re getting divorced. Neither Kalani nor Asuelu seem happy in their marriage, and it’s clear they’ve been struggling for a long time. Hopefully if Kalani and Asuelu have decided to split up, it’s the best decision for them and their children.
