After first meeting online over a decade ago, and recently reconnecting, Caleb and Alina decided to meet up in Turkey. They wanted to find out if their connection could bloom into a stable relationship. Alina, who has diastrophic dysplasia, was accompanied by her friend Elijah, a vocal man who was quick to grill Caleb and share his disapproval. Meanwhile, Alina has been called out by viewers for pressuring Caleb to be intimate with her after he spent their first night together sleeping, due to grueling international travel. Though Alina insisted that she wasn't "thirsty" for Caleb, her actions and words show that she is eager to pressure him into intimacy and a relationship. However, Caleb has shown many signs that he isn't ready.
When it came to sexual attraction, Alina immediately voiced that she wanted to be with Caleb. However, Caleb was clear about his mindset. Caleb admitted that Alina was smaller than he thought she would be and that he wasn't sure if he wanted to be intimate with her. Caleb explained that he needed time to process his feelings and consider what he wanted to do. However, Alina and her friends Elijah and Maria continually grilled and pressured Caleb. Many viewers believe that Caleb finally initiated a make-out with Alina because Elijah and Alina wouldn't stop pestering him about his lack of physical intimacy. Caleb was very open about expressing that he needed time to process how he felt because he wasn't certain of whether or not he wanted to be with Alina. However, Alina did not appear receptive to this answer.

However, it's also apparent that Alina is feeling things far more than Caleb at this point. While Alina's friend Maria tried to pressure Caleb into defining things with Alina, Caleb said that it was way too soon to discuss moving to another country to be together or even to officially be dating. Alina obviously wanted an answer from Caleb, while he needed time to figure out what he really wanted. However, Alina was pleased when things got intimate with Caleb after the outing.
Caleb is giving his relationship with Alina a chance, but it's also apparent that Alina does not respect his boundaries. Many Before the 90 Days viewers were furious about the way that Elijah and Alina tore Caleb up for wanting to take things slowly. Meanwhile, Alina has been called out for being too demanding. The same criticism has been leveled at other Before the 90 Days season 5 women, as Memphis Smith was also called out for demanding sex with Moknii Hamza before marriage. While many viewers are enjoying 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5, it is not without its problematic cast members.
