Shaeeda Sween from 90 Day Fiancé has finally taken off her hijab on Instagram, much to the shock and amusement of her fans. Yoga expert Shaeeda, who’s 37 years old, is from Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago. She debuted in 90 Day Fiancé season 9 in which Shaeeda moved to America to get married to Bilal Hazziez from Kansas City. Shaeeda met Bilal on Facebook, and despite her having a name eerily similar to his second wife Shahida, Bilal started talking to Shaeeda and met her in her native country to get engaged within seven days. On TLC, Shaeeda became an instant fan favorite while Bilal became a villain.
Bilal tried to outsmart Shaeeda on her first day in the U.S. by pranking her to see if she was after his net worth. Fans sympathized with Shaeeda as Bilal stressed her out further by getting her involved in a pre-up drama. Eventually, Shaeeda proved she wasn’t someone that Bilal could mess with, as she added a condition about how the two would have a baby before she turns 40, provided she’s biologically able to do so. Shaeeda also wanted Bilal to help her start a business that would just belong to her in the U.S. With the negotiations taken care of, 90 Day Fiancé star Bilal and Shaeeda had a fairytale wedding and the couple is now part of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7.
Shaeeda’s popularity has won her several thousand fans on Instagram. These followers often ask Shaeeda questions to get to know her better. Some want to see Shaeeda without make-up while others are interested in seeing Shaeeda’s hair. She posted a video while saying that fans keep asking her how she looks without her hijab. “So today I've decided to show you guys how I look without my hijab." Shaeeda spoke about fans posting comments and sending her messages about it. “Are you ready?” she asked the camera before taking her orange headscarf off with a smile on her face.
However, Shaeeda pranked her 90 Day Fiancé fans because instead of showing her hair under the Islamic head covering, she revealed a bald head. Shaeeda was using a bald filter to fool all her curious followers. The Qur'an instructs Muslim women and men to dress modestly, and for some, the hijab is worn by Muslim girls and women to maintain modesty and privacy from unrelated males. Therefore, Muslim woman Shaeeda has never been seen without the hijab on camera, as she keeps it on during filming, although she sometimes takes it off at home. “No more questions on how do you look without hijab,” Shaeeda explained. Moreover, the 90 Day Fiancé star specified that her Reel wasn’t a joke about being bald. “The joke is whether I had on a curly filter, a locs filter it’s to show I got you! You thought it was real,” Shaeeda continued.
Fans loved Shaeeda’s sense of humor and agree that Shaeeda is beautiful in every which way. Viewers first took an interest in Shaeeda’s hair during a scene in 90 Day Fiancé season 9 where Bilal was annoyed with finding her hair pins everywhere, which are used by Shaeeda to keep her hijab on. In typical Bilal style, he lectured Shaeeda about pushing her pins into his expensive couch. To which, Shaeeda had replied with, “This is something we do, we keep pins on the cushions,” when 90 Day Fiancé fans found out Shaeeda sometimes keeps the pins where she takes her hijab on and later forgets to put them back.
