The hit reality television series 90 Day Fiancé has given us some wonderful and memorable moments and couples. Despite the fact that the pairs met and married before getting to know each other and coming from varying cultures, many have proven that love conquers all.

Sadly, this hasn't always been the case, and not every moment produced by the show was magical. 90 Day Fiancé has seen some weird moments and sad occurrences, many times because of cast member's deplorable attitudes, decisions, and behavior. There is no shortage of sad and cringy moments to choose from, but these ten really hit fans hard.

Russ Lost His Job

As if starting a new life with someone in a faraway land isn't challenging enough! Russ and Paola met while Russ was in Colombia on a work assignment. They quickly fell in love and moved stateside to start their lives together. Shortly after they married, Russ lost his job as a field engineer. It was a hard pill to swallow for the couple, who had already overcome so much in their short time together.

Brett's Mother Refused To Attend The Wedding

It is natural for brides and grooms to want their parents to be by their sides on the most important day of their lives. Season two's Brett Otto hoped his mother would attend his wedding to his bride, Daya De Arce. But, sadly, he didn't get his fervent wish.

Brett's mom dissaproved of her son's path to love, and she didn't go to the couple's wedding. The pair went through with their plans anyhow, but it was sad and disappointing to see Brett say "I Do" without his mom there. The couple has proven that their love is the real deal, and they are still together to this day.

Leida Put Her Kid Above Eric's Kid

When a family becomes blended, one would expect all of the children in the mix to be treated in the same fashion. This was not the case with Eric and his wife, Leida. She fully expected Eric to cease paying for his dependants from his previous marriage. She demanded that he stop providing for his youngest daughter and start providing for her own son.

Eric, thankfully, decided that Leida's demands were unreasonable, and he didn't bend to her will. It was an unfortunate situation, and it's definitely remembered as one of the couple's lowest moments.

Luis Crossing Parental Boundaries

Luis and Molly were a couple without much hope of a happily ever after, and even those who cheered them on in their early relationship stages couldn't help but give up when they saw Luis treat Molly's teenage daughter, awkwardly. He started to inquire about her "social" life and alluded to what might happen between them behind closed doors. When a parent crosses important boundaries, it's sad. No child should have to put up with an adult not working in their best interest.

Paul's Paranoid Swim

Watching Paul acclimate to life in Brazil was equal parts funny and sad. He has some paranoid tendencies, and, while they make for entertaining reality television, they should probably be something that he gets help with at some point.

The saddest scene exhibiting Paul's bizarre behavior shows him swimming in a rubber suit so that nothing can travel up his exposed body parts. He also makes Karinne take a pregnancy and STD test to move forward with their relationship.

Mohammad's Treatment Of Danielle

The season two tell-all gave fans far more than they ever needed to know about Danielle and Mohammad's intimate life. It became crystal clear that Mohammad had no desire for his wife. He told viewers that Danielle would yell and scream at him, demanding intimate acts, and, when he refused her demands, she would threaten to have him deported. He also revealed embarrassing personal details regarding Danielle and her body. The entire situation and relationship was as sad as it was toxic.

Jay's Wandering Eye

If you want to be with other people, then don't get married! Jay thought that he could have it all, though, and seeing Ashley's heartbreak on television was all sorts of sad.

The two had just returned from Las Vegas, where they had eloped. Their honeymoon period ended quite abruptly when Ashley discovered that Jay had been communicating with other women over social media. Sadly, everyone watching knew that there were serious red flags in this relationship.

Azan Calling Nicole Lazy

Any time a man critiques a woman's body, it is disturbing and sad. Azan and Nicole went on a romantic getaway in Morocco, and, by that time, his personal feelings about Nicole's body became very apparent. She simply could not keep up with her man physically, and Azan made no secret regarding his thoughts on what he perceived as lazy. Listening to his treatment of Nicole and his demeaning verbiage made everyone tuning in sad for her and sad for the unhealthy union.

Jonathan Canceled His Wife's Paperwork

The situation between U.S. citizen Jonathan Rivera and Fernanda Flores took a sad turn shortly after the couple wed. Their romance started in her native Mexico. They moved to the states and made things official, but, shortly after their wedding, they decided to divorce. Jonathan went ahead and canceled his wife's green card and her paperwork. Divorce is sad, but deportation after starting a new life in a new country is even sadder.

Anfisa And Jorge's Artificial Love

Many couples on the series are truly interested in finding love, but some couples have had ulterior motives. Jorge and Anfisa didn't even try to hide their reasons for seeking one another out. Both of them desired their counterpart for reasons other than love.

Anfisa admitted to seeking out Jorge because she thought he was wealthy. He claimed that he was only interested in Anfisa because of her looks. They served as a sad example of how shallow people can be, and no one was surprised to learn that this relationship didn't work out.
