The cast of 90 Day Fiancé season 9 has yet to leave an impression on TLC viewers who are already bored of the 2022 edition. The reality show about long-distance romance, which kickstarted in 2014, has come a long way with 9 seasons, several memorable faces, and stories that have continued with countless spin-offs. Every season, 90 Day Fiancé features overseas couples reunite in America after applying for a K-1 visa. With just 90 days left for the couple to decide whether they’ll be getting married or not, each relationship is no less than a ticking time bomb.

There’s always the fear of the international partner having to go back to their country in case things fail to work out. And the worst case scenario is when a couple gets married when they shouldn't, only for them to separate in a different spin-off. Happily ever after doesn’t exist for many of these stories, with the clashes over cultures, languages, exes, and money that tether to the relationships from the start. More than watching 90 Day Fiancé romances with fairytale endings, fans have come to love 90 Day Fiancé for the best dish on its menu, which is, of course, the drama.

The current season of 90 Day Fiancé dropped a trailer introducing seven (mostly) new couples racing to make it to the altar. It promised a diverse bunch of reality TV stars in the making, with cast members hailing from countries such as Serbia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Ethiopia. The show promised fans plots featuring pregnancy scares, bikini dilemmas, and prenups. But what it perhaps failed to understand was that these are issues that have already been dealt with before in 90 Day Fiancé and its spin-offs.

The word “boring” is being associated with the cast of 90 Day Fiancé season 9 because not only are they showcasing storylines that have already been done to death in the franchise, but also because these situations don’t even look real beyond a certain point. Spoilers suggest that many of the couples are already married, which ruins the fun for fans wanting to know what’s coming up in the next episode. Viewers are left thinking, “That’s it?” each time an episode ends apart from the recycled storylines. Reports suggesting that couple Jibri and Miona Bell have been married since before 2020 have been floating online. Their common last names on appearing on Instagram.

The scene that had Biniyam Shibre’s sisters Wish and Mimi throwing a glass of wine at Ariela Weinberg’s face was the highlight of the 90 Day Fiancé season 9 trailer. Many fans agreed that they were waiting for the scene in the otherwise tedious season. But much to their surprise, Ariela has wine running down her face in a Carrie-esque moment in episode 3 already. At this point, things don’t look like they’re going to get any more dramatic for these cast members. Fans are finding solace in older seasons and are skipping through the newer episodes in anticipation of things getting better in season 9’s future.
