The current season of 90 Day Fiancé has overall not received an enthusiastic reception from fans, which has led to several featured newcomers being named franchise villains. However, viewers are enjoying some of the new faces despite the overall poorly received season. This leaves the 90 Day Fiancé season 9 cast with both heroes and villains as the season begins to draw to a close.

Many viewers voiced early disapproval at the 90 Day Fiancé season 9 cast. Though the season featured six new couples and only one returning duo, the cast members nonetheless failed to impress with their stale and boring drama. Rather than bring authentic and exciting stories to the franchise, viewers voiced that couples were recycling through the same issues that have already been aired. Additionally, many cast members appear to be scripting their drama as they acted out seemingly staged plot lines. Other couples, such as Jibri and Miona Bell, have been panned for allegedly lying about their relationship status in order to earn fame.

Overall, 90 Day Fiancé season 9 has failed to provide viewers with a single couple worth rooting for. However, there are some individuals who are liked by fans. Many of the featured cast members are split into the categories of being either controlling or controlled. Viewers have voiced unfavorable opinions about the controlling cast members who appear to trample over their partners. However, the other half of these couples have been received more favorably. This has led to many couples containing both a season 9 hero and a new franchise villain.

Shaeeda Sween (Hero)

Shaeeda Sween in 90 Day Fiancé Season 9

Shaeeda Sween is being praised by many viewers for her winning and charming personality. Shaeeda is charismatic, confident, and has a sense of humor. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans were happy to see a second woman with a hijab cast on the show after only Avery Mills was depicted, in season 3, wearing a hijab in the United States. Shaeeda is one cast member who many viewers connect with, partially because many fans cannot stand her controlling partner. Shaeeda might not be perfect in her relationship, but viewers are rooting for her to find an easygoing partner who shares her strong desire to have a baby. Overall, many fans find Shaeeda to be a breath of fresh air in a mostly disappointing season.

Bilal Hazziez (Villain)

In contrast, Shaeeda’s fiancé, Bilal Hazziez, has not received a favorable reception from viewers. In fact, the American father has left many franchise fans infuriated as some even suggest that he is verbally abusive and potentially manipulative. Bilal is extremely controlling and micromanages everything Shaeeda does. He runs his household in a highly stressful manner that leaves her feeling like she is walking on eggshells. Bilal also showed some concerning behavior, such as when he portrayed a playful shove of Shaeeda's as a violent moment. Bilal leaves many viewers with an uneasy feeling, which has caused 90 Day Fiancé fans to urge Shaeeda to dump him before she legally commits herself to him.

Kobe Blaise (Hero)

There may not be many cast members worth rooting for during 90 Day Fiancé season 9, but Kobe Blaise is the highlight of the season for many fans. Kobe immediately warmed the hearts of viewers with his sweet and charming personality. The father was moved to tears when meeting his little boy for the first time and pledged that he would be a supportive father and husband. Few 90 Day Fiancé cast members have embraced fatherhood as openly and enthusiastically as Kobe has. Kobe comes across as incredibly sweet and loving, as he is doing whatever it takes to be a good father even if it means living in an area where he feels uncomfortable. Kobe has so far proven to viewers that he is absolutely worth rooting for.

Emily Bieberly (Villain)

Emily Bieberly in 90 Day Fiance Season 9

Unfortunately, Kobe’s partner, Emily Bieberly, falls into the villain category. Emily has come across as immature, childish, bossy, and unrealistic. Emily makes it clear that her needs matter above the needs of anyone else, and she has a reputation for bossing around the people in her family. The American mother has been quite rude to Kobe and is unwilling to fully share their son with him. Emily is also demanding an expensive wedding and diamond ring even though she and Kobe are living with her parents due to their lack of money. She refuses to compromise and often talks down to Kobe in a demanding way that infuriates viewers. Many fans also believe that Emily's father shares her same snobby attitude.

Mohamed Abdelhamed (Villain)

90 Day Fiancé season 9 star Mohamed Abdelhamed

Many 90 Day Fiancé season 9 cast members have given viewers a reason to complain, but none quite as much as Mohamed Abdelhamed. The Egyptian man has come across as completely intolerable. Mohamed expects his partner, Yvette Arellano, to do everything for him, including cooking, cleaning, and working. Meanwhile, Mohamed wants Yvette to convert to Islam or at least follow all of the strict rules of his religion. Mohamed even polices what Yvette wears even though he fell for her after he saw her in a bikini photo online. Overall, many viewers find everything about Mohamed to be completely intolerable.

Guillermo Rojer (Hero)

Guillermo Rojer might need to develop a more realistic mindset, but many viewers have a favorable opinion about the Venezuelan man. Guillermo comes across as a little bit naïve due to his desire to have a lavish wedding despite a lack of funds, though he is overall very sweet and likable. Guillermo won over many viewers when he wanted to hand out spare balloons from a balloon arrangement to children on the street even though his partner, Kara Bass, popped them. Guillermo comes across as having a heart of gold, which makes him a welcome addition to a cast full of wannabe influencers and controlling partners.

Biniyam’s Sisters (Villain)

Biniyam Ariela Sister Mimi Instagram Racist 90 Day Fiance

Biniyam Shibre and Ariela Weinberg have earned mixed reviews among franchise fans ever since 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. However, Biniyam’s sisters Mimi and Wish earn a far worse reception from viewers. The Ethiopian women continued to disapprove of Ariela and even threw a glass of red wine in her face before she moved to the United States. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans are shocked by how unkind the women are and sided with Ariela during their one-sided fight.
