Juliana Custodio and Sarah’s relationship on 90 Day Fiancé season 7 has been the breakout couple of the season. Sarah is Michael’s ex-wife, and unlike most reality series narratives, this season of 90 Day Fiancé showed an ex-couple who could amicably co-parent. Even more surprisingly, the series showed the deep bond that developed between Sarah and Michael Jessen’s new wife, Juliana.

90 Day Fiancé season 7 concluded this week with another multiple-part tell-all episode. This 90 Day Fiancé reunion show had many reveals, including some about why Michael and Sarah’s marriage might have ended in the first place. Despite all the tame drama, Sarah and Juliana’s bond still remains stronger than ever. The two women even held hands as they sat next to each other on stage. Juliana also confirmed that she still considers Sarah her best friend in America.

We love our 90 Day Fiancé drama and this season had plenty of it, but the best part of the season was watching Sarah really be there for Juliana. TLC really tried to play up some dramatic moments, like when Sarah mentioned the prenuptial agreement to Michael and when Sarah told Juliana that she didn’t want her to parent Max and Cece. However, for the most part, Sarah has been nothing but kind to Juliana. Not only did she take her to her wedding dress fitting, but she even officiated Michael and Juliana’s wedding. Even after the cameras stopped rolling, Juliana and Sarah seem close as ever, with Juliana and Michael attending Sarah’s recent wedding and the extended family growing tighter before and after the wedding.

Juliana and Sarah 90 Day Fiancé

During the 90 Day Fiancé: Tell-All Part 1, many of the couples commended Michael, Sarah, and Juliana for developing this really respectful and kind relationship. The other couples wished that their exes and new spouses could have the same level of consideration when interacting. Sasha seemed to admire how Sarah, Juliana, and Michael make it work, and he wished that Emily and his exes could have a better relationship, at least for his children. Angela made light of things by joking that she hates all of her fiancé Michael’s exes, though she never met them, even she seemed impressed by Michael, Juliana, and Sarah’s family dynamic.

Juliana and Sarah’s friendship is so lovely to watch, not just for its change in reality show norms, but because it feels genuine. It feels like Sarah and Juliana really do adore each other. They want nothing more than to see each other happy and to raise Max and Cece as best as possible.  Sarah and Juliana both seem like amazing, strong women, which has to reflect that Michael can’t be that bad if he married two great women and raised two amazing children, with plans to raise more. It shakes 90 Day Fiancé’s creepy old man, a very younger woman archetype to the core. We’re still not completely sold on Michael, but he’s very lucky to have this civil and loving family unit. In the land of many 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs, we definitely wouldn’t mind watching one about Sarah, Juliana, Cece, and Max - with occasional guest appearances by Michael.
