Ed Brown, or better known as Big Ed, is already pegged as 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Day’s most genuine cast member. Even though he may be short in stature, Ed was big on sharing his hope for love, which inspired fans to already rally behind him.
The newest couple met on Instagram when Rosemarie friended Ed. Despite the 31-year age gap, the couple were immediately smitten with each other. While Rosemarie lives in poverty, Ed is planning a grand gesture by flying to her native country of the Phillipines and proposing after they meet for the first time.
Big Ed decided to steal viewers hearts on the premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days last night. At only 4'9" the newest reality star decided to rejoin the dating world after almost 30 years of being single. While fans got to know the San Diego native, some noticed that he may be the one cat fishing in the situation as he had not been honest about his height. He told his soon to be fiancée that he was 5'2". He also had taken to dying his hair to look younger and hides his short stature by distracting Rosemarie with his dog, Teddy, when they Skype. Viewers watched as Ed slathered himself with mayonnaise to make his hair sleek and smooth, nothing like some outward vanity to win over a new love interest.
Human egg salad sandwiches aside, fans could not help but fall in love with the TLC personality. From the very start of the episode, he was honest about the rest of his life. He was married for a short time and when the marriage ended back in the 1980’s after he revealed he had been unfaithful. However, he praises his 28-year-old daughter Tiffany for being the most amazing thing he's ever created in his life. Fans of the show could see that all Ed truly wanted to do was find true love with Rosemarie. He decided to risk his relationship with his daughter, who had chosen to stop speaking with him, and fly to the Philippines to put his heart on the line. Not to mention he drove a pretty neat scooter, with an adorable doggy backpack for Teddy.
Even though Big Ed is 54 and Rosemarie is 23, they seem to be forming a real bond. The professional photographer was introduced to her son, Prince, who referred to him as "daddy," but even Ed understood it was too soon for him to be addressed as a father figure. This admission was refreshing for fans to see as he obviously was not rushing into the relationship. With his huge personality, Big Ed will soon be a 90 Day Fiancé fan favorite and a cast member fans will be rooting for. Fans hope that Ed can overcome his fear of love and make a real connection with Rosemarie.
