90 Day Fiancé season 2 featured Brett and Daya, and it's time to catch up with one of the best couples from one of the best reality TV shows. While some 90 Day Fiancé cast members seem to have a genuine connection, others are so mismatched it's comical. In many cases, the drama doesn't let up after the cameras stop rolling. What happened to Brett and Daya, one of the more genuine pairings, after season 2? While they won't appear on the upcoming 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8, it's time to catch up with the fan-favorite couple.

Like many couples to appear on the hit show, the Washington native first fell for the Filipina beauty online. They met in 2014 when the then-31-year-old divorcée decided to try an international dating website. The two got along quite well when Daya came to see him in America. Unfortunately, they faced some intense backlash from Brett's family. Daya's future mother-in-law made apparent references to the then-29-year-old being a gold digger and was sure the Philippines native was only using her son for a green card. Brett's mom even told him that she would never accept Daya as her daughter-in-law. This put much pressure on the engaged pair, but could they weather the storm?

The couple wed in 2015. Sadly, Brett's mother did not change her tune and was absent at her son's nuptials. Daya gave birth to their daughter Isabella in July 2017, two years into marriage. The parents were overjoyed at her arrival, revealing that they initially had trouble conceiving. Brett also has an older daughter, Cassidy, from his previous marriage. Cassidy and Daya had a rough start. Fortunately, time has helped, as the Ottos now appear to be a happily blended family.

Fans of the show got a peek into their post-reality TV lives in the particular 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined episodes, which featured dozens of show alums. While Brett and Daya showed they are still happily married, they revealed some 2020 struggles. As with many families, the pandemic negatively impacted the Ottos. It was revealed that Brett was out of work because of it. Daya had become the family breadwinner, picking up night shifts in an assisted living facility. Despite the potential financial struggles, their marriage is undeniably a success.

Daya and Brett have mostly flown under the radar since their short return to reality TV in 2020. However, there's no indication they aren't happily married. The pair were on 90 Day Fiancé because of genuine love instead of clout, and there's hope they are still a happy family in 2024.
