Earlier this week, Rosemarie “Rose” Vega shared an Instagram post about breaking rules and kissing slowly. The 90 Day Fiancé star is on her road to recovery after her dramatic split from Edward “Big Ed” Allen Brown.
Rosemarie and Big Ed were a sensation on the fourth season of 90 Day Fiancé. Unfortunately, the meme-able couple didn’t tie the knot at the end of the show. The main reason for their breakup was over the decision to have children. Big Ed has a daughter, Tiffany Brown, who is 29 years old. In the later episodes of 90 Day Fiance, Ed said “it was a wonderful experience, but having more kids is not something that I want.” He also informed his Philippines native girlfriend that he booked vasectomy appointments, but cancelled them right before their vacation. On the other hand, Rose expressed that she wanted to have more children. She has a 4-year-old son named Prince back in the Philippines, but communicated “I want two kids because that’s my dream.” After Ed made it clear that he didn’t want any more kids, there was a heated argument that ended with a breakup. The last thing Rose said to Big Ed was, “Please change your behavior because you [will] see another girl and I think you will give her again what you hurt me [with].” Ed responded, “So you think I’m bad, I’m a bad person.” Since their split, Ed has been working on himself by getting strong at the gym.
During season four of 90 Day Fiancé, Rose acquired a massive Instagram and social media following. Recently, she shared a mellow picture of herself in a yellow and blue Adidas shirt. The photo was captioned, “LIFE is short, break the RULES, FORGIVE quickly, KISS slowly, LOVE truly, LAUGH uncontrollably, and never REGRET anything that made you SMILE.” Vega has taken some time to heal after her break up and the caption is reflective of that.
A producer checked in with Rose after her split with Ed. “I feel hurt and I feel sad because Ed, he [does] not accept his own mistakes. I miss my son because I [left] him for Ed and I feel sad. I’m done [with] this relationship. When Ed and I met online, I liked Ed because he [gave] me respect. But after I met Ed in person, I realized who is [the] true Ed. I [will] meet my true king in the future,” Rose said. She is taking the time to heal and will surely find love again soon.
The 90 Day Fiancé couple only spent a short period of time physically together, but they spent more time getting to know each other online. The dynamic can change in person which was part of the issue in Rose and Big Ed’s relationship. Ultimately, the decision to have children was the straw that broke the camel’s back. No matter how a relationship ends, it is tough to deal with the emotional aftermath and move on. Rose is clearly putting in the work and focusing on herself as we saw in her recent Instagram post.
