Rosemarie Vega from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise has shocked fans by calling ex-boyfriend Big Ed Brown's rude comments to her on TLC a “blessing.” The May/December love story of Filipina Rose and San Diego resident Big Ed has been the franchise’s most controversial yet. When Big Ed flew to the Philippines to meet the single mother Rose after their online romance on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, fans saw many red flags. A year later, Rose, who was called a “gold digger,” is still in her country, while Big Ed has recently been confirmed for a new 90 Day: The Single Life season. Fans want to know why Rose appears thankful to Big Ed in light of how he treated her.

Although Big Ed already had a 29-year-old daughter himself, the 90 Day Fiancé star, 54, fell for Rose, 23, whom he met via the “people you may know” section of Facebook. As per Big Ed, age was just a number. He started chatting with Rose daily and later bought a ticket to her homeland. Soon enough, Big Ed’s big lies and omissions were being exposed to Rose, from him not telling her his actual height to keeping his vasectomy a secret.

Finally, the reality icon Rose said “I’m done” to Big Ed, after she confronted him about the baby issue, but not before he offended her many times. Big Ed had infamously humiliated Rose by asking her to shave her legs, use mouthwash, and take an STD test when he wouldn't take one himself. Fans were also creeped out by the foot massage Big Ed had given her.

Rose Vega Becomes A Household Name

However, in a new interview with Vice, 90 Day Fiancé celeb Rosemarie Vega commented, “that was God’s way for me to achieve the life I have today.” She was referring to clips of Big Ed's insults going viral. Since the episodes documenting Big Ed’s trip to the Philippines aired on TLC, Rose and Ed gained overnight popularity worldwide. While some people didn't watch 90 Day Fiancé, the Internet saw the clips of Big Ed being manipulative and offensive to Rose and instantly bashed him. To date, it’s hard to scroll on social media and not come across a meme featuring Rose’s iconic “disgusted” face, or one mocking Big Ed. Ed's smarmy “I like the view” line from an episode is a major 2020 TikTok trend. Obviously, going viral over something like this, for Rose, was indeed a “blessing.”

Rose Becomes An Influencer & Launches Her Own Merchandise

To keep up with her life, fans have started to follow Rose on Instagram, and her followers are steadily increasing. Those who are following Rose see her getting the truly happy ending that she deserves, even though she didn’t get the coveted Green Card people thought she dated Big Ed to obtain. So far, Rose has gained over 636k followers on IG, alongside 733k subscribers on YouTube, which is where the 90 Day Fiancé alum documents how her life changed after the show. Rose also has an online merch store that has T-shirts printed with “attractive always you” and “Halik.” While she certainly is enjoying her time in the spotlight, out of Big Ed's shadow, the hairstyle influencer Rose confesses that she wants a big-time career as a “model, vlogger, and entrepreneur.”

Rose Gets A Makeover & Goes Viral On The Internet

The former 90 Day Fiancé star has already taken baby steps into the modeling world and a May photoshoot went viral when some fans saw the difference between her “before” and “after” looks. Over the past year, Rose’s confidence appears to have doubled, which is evident as she flaunts new and glam looks. This “glow up of the century” ended up getting Rose more attention than ever, and the 90 Day Fiancé face is now representing a cellphone brand and starring in a music video. Meanwhile, fans are asking for Big Ed to be canceled from the show.
