Although the couple is happily married and still together in 2021 as per Instagram, Rebecca’s behavior on season 8 is making fans question her motives. Some feel that Rebecca, who’s almost 20 years older than Tunisian partner Zied, reveals a facet to their relationship that may not be seen on screen. Even though Zied and Rebecca seemed to be the couple having the least amount of fights on 90 Day Fiancé season 8, the Georgia resident’s jealousy was a cause of much concern. Be it Rebecca’s past involving her use of filters to subtly catfish and look younger for Zied, or her being extremely possessive in the recent reason, the 50-year-old did showcase problematic traits. Fans called Rebecca out when she created a scene following Hannah Drake's offering to help Zied using her many trucks. It may have been Zied looking younger than ever that increased 90 Day Fiancé wife Rebecca’s insecurities. But what is it causes her to speak to Zied in less fluent English?
A 90 Day Fiancé fan on Reddit happened to post about an interesting observation made during a binge-watching session of season 8. The fan asked, “what is the consensus with the way Rebecca speaks to Zied?” They questioned Rebecca, asking if she wants to “unlearn her native language." They added that they don’t even talk to their toddler the way she does to Zied. The TLC viewer then deduced that Rebecca could be doing so intentionally so that Zied never gets a chance to “learn English” through their conversations, and she, in turn, has the upper hand in their relationship.
Another fan agreed and wrote, “she is just weird and controlling. That’s all I can say.” The fan joked that Zied seems pretty okay with Rebecca’s immature communication tactics, and they’ve also seen him pretending to “not understand sometimes.” Some fans pointed out that this was a sign of Rebecca being ignorant. They alleged that she had been dumbing down her conversations for the sake of making Zied “understand."
But 90 Day Fiancé fan-favorite Zied has shown improvement in leaps and bounds since his 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days debut. The Tunisian star, who’s on his way to get a work permit soon, wishes to take up acting as a career, which is something that Zied did as a child back home. His sensibleness in his relationship with Rebecca has been largely appreciated. And it won’t come as a surprise if Zied starts speaking English like his native speaker wife, all thanks to his determination, the next time fans see him on 90 Day Fiancé.
