After a successful season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé, fan-favorite couple Rebecca Parrott and Zied Hakimi are not only still together, but also celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary. The TLC couple had everything going against them on the show, starting from Rebecca’s jealousy to suspicion about Zied scamming her for money and a visa. However, despite their 22-year age gap, and a rushed ceremony before Ramadan, Rebecca and Zied tied the knot in an intimate setting on reality TV. But the 90 Day Fiancé couple’s supporters were far more delighted to see Rebecca’s emotional post for her loving husband of one year, Zied.

After three failed marriages, Rebecca, 50, had met Zied, 28, on Facebook before beginning her journey on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. What started as an innocent chat between Rebecca and Zied from her “People You May Know” list on Facebook soon escalated into a long-distance romance fuelled by emojis and filters. But Tunisian Zied seemed smitten by Georgia’s Rebecca. 90 Day Fiancé season 8 saw Zied coming to America on a K-1 visa to marry Rebecca, who was fed suspicions by her family and friends.

Despite Zied being homesick and then pushing her into marrying way before his visa deadline, Rebecca did get married to her love. The 90 Day Fiancé icon and former private investigator Rebecca wished her “babe” Zied a happy anniversary with an emotional Instagram post. “You simply make my life better. You made me trust love again. For that, I’ll always be grateful,” Rebecca wrote in her caption, while calling Zied her best friend who makes her laugh “more than ever.” She told her hubby, “You are the most genuine, purest soul I’ve ever met and I’m lucky you chose me to love,” as she mentioned that he’s given her a “mad, passionate, crazy, deep love.”

Rebecca, who currently has the most Instagram followers amongst the 90 Day Fiancé season 8 cast, concluded her heartfelt message to Zied with, “I’ll spend my life making you happy.” Zied, who was praised for his recent glow-up by Seth Rogen, replied to his beautiful wife with, “That’s soo romantic love you too make my life amazing I love you so so so much my wife my befffreind [sic].” The couple’s castmates Julia Trubkina, Natalie Mordovtseva, Erika Owens, and Cortney Reardanz also congratulated Zied and Rebecca. Meanwhile, fans left happy messages such as, “you guys rock,” and “these photos are adorable” for their favorite 90 Day Fiancé stars.

Some TLC viewers, however, seemed confused about how Zied and Rebecca were already celebrating their anniversary considering they got married on 90 Day Fiancé season 8. Some thought it was the anniversary of their meeting but soon realized that Zied and Rebecca were married on April 19, 2020, while the ceremony was telecast in an episode of March 2021. Sure, it was a friend request that started it all in April 2018, but Rebecca and Zied have given 90 Day Fiancé yet another success story.
